This is just flat out lying

He missed a wide open Gainwell in the end zone--could havef underhanded it to him--and instead throws to a double covered Smith.  We had to kick a FG from the 3 bc Sirianni had no faith in Hurts

His pass to Goedert was clearly underthrown--the defender had it in his hands

His poor pocket presence lead directly to a sack where he stepped up then back within the pocket.  Sanchize called that one out

The guy showed nothing last night.

The sack occurred b/c Mailata and Opeta mishandled a stunt, he tried to step up and Mailata had a bad angle on his block. Mailata had a rough first half before he settled down, including an awful holding call on a nicely executed screen.

Yeah, he forced it to Smith and missed Gainwell, that was his worst read. The ball to Goedert was throw high where he could make a play on a deep ball, you see that all the time with tall WRs, I forget what game I was watching Sunday but some team did it three times against a smaller CB. Throw it high and let your bigger WR make a play - but we haven't had a WR who can do that for a very long time - Goedert can.

Oh yeah, a number of perfect throws over the middle. Which I thought he couldn't make?

I figured beast would have posted this since he likes to keep us informed of what happens with the bucs.

Nah, that troll only tells us about the good things with the Bucs.

Id complain about missed reads when the reads he makes dont result in completions and he has one of those games where he completes like 48% of his passes for 112 yards.

On a night where he had a great completion percentage, was pretty consistently accurate, and threw for the yardage he did (and easily had 300 yards if not for 2 terrible drops on good passes), theres no room to complain about what fans who dont know the offense perceive as missed reads.

He probably missed some reads, as every QB does. But the reads he made, he completed for the most part. And he had a very good game.

I just pointed out one where we had to kick a FG instead of Hurts throwing to a wideass open receiver 10 feet away.

Hes a mental midget.  Its all good when Sirianni is dialing up perfect play calls or Hurts can run around, but otherwise hes flatout not good enough

He didnt 'probably' miss reads, he absolutely missed them and a number of them.  If you guys want to be fooled by this fraud, by all means, go buy his jersey.   But hes a fraud

You know who had a great game last night?  Sirianni.

He made it difficult for Hurts to F up.

Talking about next year. This draft should significantly improve it. Doesn't even matter if Howie is picking.  This is an awesome defensive draft.  Almost any pick is a good one in the first few rounds.

replace 'should' with 'could', and I agree.   Howie hasn't drafted a single Pro Bowler on the defensive side of the ball in any draft that he was 'in charge'.

Almost any defensive pick is good not even Howie can screw it up

Howie- " Challenge accepted".

Man you love your extremes. It's ok to admit Hurts had a good game last night. He did. Doesn't erase his poor play for most of the season, but it's OK to acknowledge when he played well. Most are saying we want to see him be more consistent, which is fair. This game last night, and the first half against the Broncos are the only times this year where I thought he could have a future as a starting QB. That's not nearly enough over the course of a season, but we'll see how the rest of the year goes.

I like that the team didn't quit when down 10-0 last night. Sirianni seems to be well liked in the locker room.

Looks like bring your kid to work day

Devonta Smith in a 3pt stance + Slay on offense. Sirianni had a fun bye week.

Cute he thinks Smith is 175

What did everyone think of Opeta last night?

Might have smoke a bit of crack during it

Eagles really need to get a pass rusher.  Whether it's a DE or outside LB, someone that can pressure the QB.

He didnt look like Quentin Nelson so he sucks.

@LeanMeanGM

I might have missed it but who had the closest score prediction?

I've seen the Eagles linked to Desmond Riddler in the second round a couple times...

If Ridder plays well against ‘bama, he’ll go in the first round.

Overall he played a good game last night.  He didn't dance in the pocket as much and he made some nice throws like the TD to Ward.  He still missed some open WRs and threw into double coverage when he didn't have to.  Lucky for him Goedert climbs the ladder and gets that one long pass.  I thought that was going to be an INT as soon as the S came into the picture frame and a better S would have picked that.  Then the play on the GL where Gainwell was open 1 yard deep in the EZ on a slant and he threw it to the corner for Smith who had 2 defenders near him.  He's still not seeing the field well enough and/or is holding the ball and not pulling the trigger when there's a play to be made and it seems he does that most often when the receiver is in tight spaces near the middle of the field.

It seemed to me that most of his good throws last night came on the move and not from the pocket.  I'd have to watch highlights of the game to confirm this, but that's what it seemed like.  That's fine, but at some point a very good D can at least limit his mobility and force him to have to make throws from the pocket.  So while I did see some progress from him last night, and it was also good to see him bounce back after ishing the bed his last game, I still want to see more from him.  And going against the D that had him playing so poorly is a good test.  I'm curious how he handles this next game.  Will the VaGiants play the same D they deployed last time against him?  If so then will Hurts adjust and how does he perform?

Yes, very curious to see if he has another bad clunker like last time or if he plays decent to good.  This will give us more of an idea of him as a QB.

On the pass to Goedert, Tyree was wide open over the middle.  Hurts may not be comfortable throwing to him yet, or just didn’t see him but it was a good opportunity to finally get him involved.   Sad if he didn’t see him, dude is the largest target on the field.

Hurts played well last night. If he can play that same way consistently and against better teams, he can have another year.

Would rather that than trade three firsts for Wilson. Keep two, trade one so that we have two next year and take a QB then if Hurts doesn't vastly improve.

Wonder what it would take to get Wilson given his age and that he hasn’t played well since return from injury?

If it was a 1st and another pick I’d be interested. He’d do fine for a few more years with a commitment to the running game and not asked to throw it 40+ times a game.

Couldn’t agree more, our DE’s are atrocious. Not even sure Kerrigan played last night.

Liking the Georgia LB Dean more I see of him.

I want to like Josh Sweat more and hate Derek Barnett less but every game it seems Sweat is non-existent and Barnett makes a hustle play.  They need multiple DE/pass rushers.  They need to study their NFCE rivals and how they draft defense because all three of them seem to be able to find pass rushers much more effectively than the Eagles do.

He played ok, I mean the eagles still had over 200 yards rushing with Opeta an Herbig as the starting guards.

Opeta had a bad play here and there but overall thought he played well enough

Thought Herbig played well

When Mailata Kelce or Johnson are on either side of you makes ones job a bit easier.

Those 3 guys are really really good.

Those three guys are unreal athletes.

Mailata is similar to Peters in that you don't see guys that big who can move that well.

Lane blew the combine away and is uber-athletic.

And Kelce is a freak of nature, linemen simply shouldn't able to run that fast.

When you have Dickerson in there, it's a unit that's almost impossible to stop. If Brooks ever gets healthy, DL will be going "no mas" by the fourth quarter.

Though give Herbig (and Stoutland) credit, he's much improved (and smaller) than last season. Opeta is athletic and powerful on a straight line but needs work on his lateral agility, and that gets exposed pass blocking.
