Those three guys are unreal athletes.

Mailata is similar to Peters in that you don't see guys that big who can move that well.

Lane blew the combine away and is uber-athletic.

And Kelce is a freak of nature, linemen simply shouldn't able to run that fast.

When you have Dickerson in there, it's a unit that's almost impossible to stop. If Brooks ever gets healthy, DL will be going "no mas" by the fourth quarter.

Though give Herbig (and Stoutland) credit, he's much improved (and smaller) than last season. Opeta is athletic and powerful on a straight line but needs work on his lateral agility, and that gets exposed pass blocking.

This ain't ever happening. Time to move on.

@LeanMeanGM

I might have missed it but who had the closest score prediction?

Didn't post it yet, but it was @jamiller who predicted 29-18.

There were no bonus winners. Unless you went streaking.

Oh, I know.  But it was a chance to call out the troll for his front running.  Amazing how he disappeared just when the Bucs became completely irrelevant.  And then came back just as they got Brady...

And yet, I remember watching the Giants game... and they managed to stop them.  🤔

He is not doing a lot of front running this week...........

Yup.  Because he's a troll.

No, he's in witness protection right now...  which is typical.

Gilbert had a better QBR than Hurts.

Well, that "interception” hurt Hurts’ QBR.  In what fantasy world was Hurts in any way responsible for that interception.  The fumble also hurt and that was on Hurts.

Even on the good plays, he's not even looking at different receivers, but staring down Goedert.

He wasn't. But Goedert evened it out by plucking the ball away later on. So it's a wash, IMO.

Nice to see you in here, Matt.

Leave it to you to get that expression correct. You could have just gone with
"Balls to the Wall", tho I've never really understood that one....:smoke:

Back in the VietNam War protest era the spelling of "pedal to the meta"l was "petal to the medal"

Good to see you too Doc.

Talking about next year. This draft should significantly improve it. Doesn't even matter if Howie is picking.  This is an awesome defensive draft.  Almost any pick is a good one in the first few rounds.

This is my fear.  They're going to try and prove how clever they are, how they're the smartest guys in the NFL, and they'll do something stupid.  Again.

"Everybody thinks there's so much defensive talent this draft, it'll leave us the top tight end! It's perfect!" - Howie Roseman, probably

I want to like Josh Sweat more and hate Derek Barnett less but every game it seems Sweat is non-existent and Barnett makes a hustle play.  They need multiple DE/pass rushers.  They need to study their NFCE rivals and how they draft defense because all three of them seem to be able to find pass rushers much more effectively than the Eagles do.

Would agree with that first statement. BLOG loves Sweat, to me he’s JAG. We have to do better there.

RB ran 25 for 131 (5.2 ypc) and Hurts added another 77 yards on 8 carries.

This is where they miss Graham. Sweat is best used as a pass rush specialist.

I'm not worried. Howie drafts by consensus, this year you have Sirianni and Gannon, who actually have hands on coaching experience, v Pederson and Schwartz.

I think you'll see a greater emphasis on "coachability" and intangibles than sheer athleticism.

Gannon as a former scout should have a better rapport with the personnel guys.

It evens out. The catch Goedert made later should’ve been an INT. Can’t play would’ve could’ve should’ve in one direction.

Personally, I love that Hurts is throwing some contested balls. That ball to Goedert was placed where Goedert could go and get it, so was the one to Smith. He is getting to know his receivers and pulling the trigger, albeit sometimes a bit late. I think those are just the sort of throws we want to see from Hurts.  I am not suggesting recklessness, but calculated risk as the latter wins in the NFL.

From his personal QB coach.

Wow nice job meeting minimum requirements for playing quarterback

Said it before and Ill say it again:. Its not the Philadelphia Jalen Hurts.  The sole purpose of this franchise is not to determine if we can make Hurts a starter.

He doesnt even give us the best chance to win right now.  What this franchise is doing is racing towards a black hole of mediocrity that they wont be bold enough to stop.

If he would only be able to rush the quarterback well
