You know who had a great game last night?  Sirianni.

He made it difficult for Hurts to F up.  

Sirianni had a great game, and more than anyone, the player that held them back on a few drives was Goedert. Hurts moved the ball all night long with uncharacteristic accuracy and poise.

if i were rivera the new policy would irk me. I don’t want someone in the Locker room who might have Covid even if they are vaccinated and asymptomatic. 

Every coach is vaccinated. They wouldn't be able to interact with the players if they weren't. There was that whole hooplah of a coach or two in Minnesota getting fired because they refused to get vaccinated.

I see some articles coming out that "Jalen Hurts has earned the starting job next season."

That statement in itself indicates to me people are looking at things the wrong way. The only question that matters is can you upgrade? That's it. And if you can, you owe it to your organization, your players, your coaches, and your fans to do it.

By their logic, if Mahomes was available in trade, the Eagles shouldn't pursue him, because "Hurts earned the job!" which would be asinine.

If the Eagles can upgrade at QB, it doesn't mean jack crap if people think Hurts earned it. You are only owed in sports what you are given by contract. Nothing more.

Well it's also a nuanced problem. You can argue that Russell Wilson, Derek Carr, etc... are better than Hurts going into this offseason, but it doesn't necessarily mean the best use of our draft capital and cap space with how this team is presently constructed is the best move, if we're thinking about making a Super Bowl caliber roster.

If there is someone in the draft that is way better than Hurts, I'm for it.

First, if Siri has COVID, likely that we are about to see a LOT of COVID cases.  Pretty sure he had close contact with pretty much the entire team.

Second, given the amount of COVID cases currently affecting the league,  there's just no way way that the league continues on business as usual.   At what point do you reschedule games?  Would it consider dropping a week?   Does this change in playoff time?    

Gonna be an interesting couple of weeks.
