Not sure how you can want Jalen Hurts to lead the Eagles to the Super Bowl when you have made it known and have argued that you don't want the Eagles to make the playoffs because getting something like the 18th pick would be more valuable than the 20th pick in the draft if they do make the playoffs.

They are in with a win today, and I have no reason to believe they won’t win.

I will say it again, I want the Jalen Hurts led Philadelphia Eagles to win the Super Bowl.

I don’t think they can, but I want it to happen.

I agree. Just looking at it from the Covid super senior perspective. Those players have made day 3 much better, and the draft as a whole deeper. Maybe we’re getting typical round 4 talent in round 6 this year.

That's why I like Howie picking up a couple extra 5th rd picks and trading Dillard for some more picks.

And why I wouldn't be adverse to trading down/up and targeting some players in the middle rounds.

Not every player you draft has to be a starter, we could use things like a good PR guy, DL depth, OL depth, RBs, possession WR types.

And look at our roster, Kearse (4th), Mailata (7th), Driscoll (4th)/Herbig (UDFA), Gainwell (5th), Watkins (6th), Edwards (UDFA), Avery (T-4th), Epps (SFA).

This is a good draft to build depth up and down the roster for the next few years.

No Antonio Gibson or Montez Sweat for WFT — and no Chase Young, of course

This game shouldn’t be all that close

You can not find one person to back that up.

I think your position on Hurts is clear to anyone who has spent more than 5 minutes on this board, because that's the average amount of time between your posts criticizing Hurts.

Why were you passionately arguing just in the past week how you want the Eagles to miss the playoffs because of the better draft pick of a couple spots?

I said it is better for the long term, higher draft picks.  Once Cousin went on Covid that ship sailed.  We are in with a win, so now I want them to win it all.

I don't get the viotrol garnered by Hurts around here. He's only 23, he's got barely a year's worth of starts, he's shown significant improvement.

No, he's not a top QB, probably as a passer in the #18-22 range (FO/QBR), which still isn't bad given his inexperience. His running has real value and probably ups his value to around #15.

If he the future? We'll see. If they win today he'll have taken what was expected to be a bad team (pre-season consensus 6-7 wins) to the playoffs and a 9-8 or better record.

Would we like Mahomes, Burrow or Herbert instead? Sure, so would about 28 other teams. "You can't always get what you want . . . "

But do you really think the Eagles would be a better team with Pickett or Strong at QB instead of Hurts? Do you want to spend three years hoping they become as good or better? (Odds are long that neither ends up a top 20 QB).

Do you want to trade 2 1st rd picks for Wilson, fit his cap hit and hope he's not washed up?

Teams have won SBs with QBs worse than Hurts, and he has a chance to get better, while this draft could build a core of a team that can compete for the rest of the decade.

If he doesn't work out, you'll have a team in place that can add a veteran QB in FA, as a prime destination.

Yes, I think Hurts is an average QB at best, I want him to prove me wrong and win a Super Bowl.

Excited for another double digit Eagles win today, where the discourse is somehow that both Hurts and Roseman are bad.

Let's pound these clowns into submission! The WFT is ready to roll over and pack it in.  Start hot, run the rock down their throat and get after the QB.  Play our game and physically dominate.  Fly Eagles Fly!

What’s your thoughts, Boston Scott or Deandre Swift in my fantasy finals ??  Both projected for 9 points, but the Hawks defense gives up more points to fantasy backs.

I'm not sure how much Scott will carry though. I mean Howard is going to feature and Gainwell is going to get some carries. I'd probably go Swift but I'm not fantasy guy.

I highly doubt they feature Howard. He was basically a game day decision and he has been wearing extra pads during practice

Ok. Coming off a 4 day bender and can’t go to the bar…

what is the best way to stream the game for out of area peeps?

I heard they have Sunday Ticket at a lot of the rehabs

The nerves are set in. Man it is exciting to watch a meaningful Eagles game late in the season again. I’ll take a playoff game and this excitement over an early pick every single time.

Find a friend with Sunday Ticket and ask for their login.

So we got someone saying that age doesn’t matter regarding running backs and the Redskins have a real fan base (when compared to the Eagles).  And people are bishing because some of us are down on Hurts?   That’s what their issue is with the blog?   That we aren’t sold on a running QB.  You guys are so GD soft.

That's what you read.  But that's not what was said.

Glad Im going to the game. They aren't televising it here. That would have pissed me off.

3 letters - V P N. I haven't had to rely on that but if you have good internet it should work fine. Better to be there in person though to help with the E-A-G-L-E-S cheer:thumbsup:

@LeanMeanGM

With Howard active, the running game will be there today  The offense and STs won’t commit the early blunders today.   Defense close to full strength but we need to see how Covid impacted the DEs. Hopefully not much.  WTF is thin at T which is something to watch but stronger on the insides of both lines.  DE is weakened as Chase is already out and Sweat missing today. Expect Eagles to exploit the weakened ends of both sides of the WTF lines.  Will be interesting to see if Clay has any surprises for the journeyman punter.

Eagles 27, WTF 20

Bonus:  Gimpy Fuller and no Jackson allows the Eagles to fire up the passing game a bit more.  Smith goes over 100 yards.

I agree with LeanMean.  Having Howard healthy n the coming weeks is much more important.  I think they will be using Scott in the 1st Quarter, and if they run effectively in that 1st Quarter I wouldn't be at all surprised if Howard gets very few (if any) carries.

Yeah ok.  "Being older shouldn’t be an issue”.  Is that better?!

It’s literally talked about as the shortest shelf life position in the NFL.  Still moronic.
