Well, that depends on the year and the conference or division.  10-6 wasn't good enough in 1991.  But 7-9 was good enough last year for the division winner in the NFC East.  All relative.

True however you actually have to beat good teams in the playoffs. When you are 0-6 against chargers, chiefs, raiders, tampa, Dallas And Sf that seems to me you might be a little fraudulent. Kind of like the end of the 2019 season where they played a bunch of bad teams in the last month of the season and found themselves in the playoffs.

The niners would be in as they beat us and we are both 9-7. Unless there’s a three-way tie (which there isn’t as saints are 8-8 and Vikings about to be 7-9). since they beat us they own the tiebreaker. Hence why currently the Niners are the six seed and the Eagles are the seven.

Say you can sign DeVonte Adams.  You have to give the Packers the Eagles 2022 first and 2023 first.  Right now their own pick is 19 or lower.  They have pick 14 and 19 or lower from Indy.  All 3 of those are where Howie completely sucks at drafting.

With two 1st round picks left over, they could potentially move down from 14 in hopes a team will trade a 2023 1st round pick to do so.  They'd still be left with 1st round picks in both 2022 and 2023 plus one of the top 5 WR in the game.  You also don't have to worry about Howie bungling those picks. 

I'd love 3 defensive 1st rounders but right now it looks like they will have 2 picks in the 20s.  Adams is a sure thing.  Yea, his contract will be absurd but DeVonta Smith will be better as WR2 with a 100% legit WR1 in Adams.

maybe my friend who is a 9ers fan was wrong then. He said they needed to win and Saints to lose. Saints didnt lose so 9ers are not in yet.

That is what I was told. I was told they now need to beat the rams next week to be in.

This game reminds everyone that a quality backup QB is a must these days.
