He does a better job underthrowing passes, that's for sure.

Again, I mentioned he floated his passes and also never compared their arm strength.  My post was 100% in regards to the main thing a QB needs to do...make his reads and get the ball out of his hands.  It's one of the biggest issues many of us have with Jalen Hurts and the one thing that can hold him back from taking his game to the next level.

Again, forgive me for suggesting Hurts doesn't do something well.  I don't want to offend any of his fans. I often forget that he's untouchable and can do no wrong.

Who here would trade Hurts for a 2nd round pick?

I would in a heart beat.

Wouldn't trade him for anything less than a 1st.

I’m not a pro scout so I defer to the both of you on the plays we ran, the route combination we utilized, the right progressions on each play and any checks at the line Gardner made that may have impacted his expedited processing (I assume you both know all of that to make those sweeping conclusions). All I saw was a QB playing in a vanilla offense and either throwing to DeVonta or running for his life against a heavily schemed-up defense.

You pretty much just contradicted everything you're trying to be snarky about by claiming it was a vanilla offense.  Did you also miss passes going to Quez Watkins and Tyree Jackson?  JJAW and Reagor had targets as well even though they did nothing to help.

And you want to talk about a vanilla offense....Sirianni had to dumb down the offense for Hurts to be successful and get the Eagles to where they are.

I think we would be hard pressed to get a first for him. ALthough we did get a first for Bradford, I just dont see any team giving us a first.

There was plenty of times that Minshew held onto the ball last night.

I suspect whichever HC candidate Fangio decides to align with will get a serious leg up for jobs.

Thats enticing, but realistically I dont think the eagles are even going to consider it. They spend a bunch of picks looking for hybrid type players to fit what Gannon wants. Now I think they focus on bringing him a little bit higher level talent.

Should have fired him last year.

I decided to try going offense a little bit earlier in this one. I unfortunately ended up neglecting LB so this seems fairly realistic.

Doubled up on DEs. Got a rotational DT. And really loaded up on secondary since last night made it so clear that we dont really have any prospects on the depth chart.

Except I admitted some things that he did wrong so nice try at using my own words.

I’m honestly petrified of losing Gannon. Has the feeling of the typical Philly overreaction of a coach who gets fired too quickly and goes on to have a successful career elsewhere.

I say we hang tight and be patient for once.

Patience is a very rare commodity here.   If someone isn't top ten at their position, they suck and should be sent to the CFL.

Firing Fangio just to hire Quinn would be hilarious.

Not sure what's going to happen with Gannon at seasons end but Fangio is a proven good DC...

Why are Ian and Tom firing Vic Fangio?

Thought Jason Huntley showed well.

He'd be the eagles best KR if he was active on game days but I doubt he's ever active game days.

I feel like I remember a year or 2 before he came here, he was one of the hottest names in this thread that people wanted to bring in to replace Schwartz.

He was very highly regarded around the league as an up and coming coach. He has a system that he didnt have all of the personnel to run yet. You cant run the seattle defense without a Bobby Wagner to make it all work. We tried to bring in a few hybrid guys like JaCoby Stevens LB/S, Milton Williams DT/DE, and Patrick Johnson DE/LB in the mold of Gennard Avery who they also retained.

What if they had used higher picks on that DE/LB position? They should do that this year and evaluate his system once it has more talent to run it properly. What if this year they get a guy like Enagbare there? Or Nick Bonitto, or Darrian Beavers for that role? And add a safety? Could be looking great.

If Wilson & Rodgers don't get traded, we're rolling with Hurts in 2022.

What could he do behind the starting OL?  The one gripe about Miles Sanders is he's hesitant to hit the hole.  Huntley seemed to explode to the hole even if just a crease.  Not saying he's Miles Sanders at all but he has an explosiveness to him that I'd love to see behind Mailata and Dickerson.

I also think the funniest thing about last night's game is that the cowboys are celebrating giving up 26 points to a team of backups. What happens when they play a real offense next week?

Truly the most bizarre thing I have ever seen.  Watching Sport Center saw a clip of the presser with Dak and his 5 tds, uhhhh you played a preseason team goof

While I like his explosion, he seems to run a little to upright.  Think he would be susceptible to big hits and fumbles.

Jason Huntley should remain on the active roster for the playoffs.  He showed some much needed juice in the kick return game.
