Side note as I've seen it's been somewhat discussed, now that Andrews got extended and makes 14 million/per I'm guessing Goedert is going to demand at least in the 12.5 to 14 range (Jonnu, Henry, Andrews). People still willing to say trading him is off the table?

I don’t know what it is but they draw you in and then you want to see what happens next. I don’t watch often, but if Lester Holt is hosting, and Keith Morrison is doing narration, it’s easy to get sucked in.

September 7, 20214 yr Hope you all had a nice holiday and long weekend. Sunday's prediction for Hurts 250 yards passing, 75 yards running, 2td (1 passing and 1 running) 2 ints.

If I could lock in 5,19,21 today I would absolutely do it. #5 gives you one of Thibodeaux, Stingley or Hamilton.
September 7, 20214 yr I'll tell you what. Not only did Ole Miss look incredible in their baby blues but that for the modern game of football, that was one of the most physical teams I've watched in a long time. I was excited to see Corral (been touting him all off-season) and unlike Howell, he did not let me down. The rest of the team was just as impressive though.

I'd probably only say mailata and Smith right now. When "the right price" is likely impractical that makes them off the table. I can imagine they would ask a king's ransom for both of those guys and I doubt any team would bite.

People still willing to say trading him is off the table? Then what do you do if Mailata asks for $12.5 - $14M? The 14th highest paid LT in the NFL makes $13M per season AAV. There seems to be the assumption here that the Eagles will be able to re-sign Mailata to an extension for peanuts. At some point you have to decide who your core pieces will be for the next 5-6 years and pay them what the market dictates, otherwise your key players leave for "greener” pastures and you’ve got no chance to contend.

I would sooner pay Mailata than I would Goedert as a LT is unquestionably more valuable than a TE. Of course we need to see how he progresses.

Soaking wood makes me think it would just smolder and give white billowy smoke. Soaking wood creates steam not smoke also.

Smith, Cox because he costs to much this year, Lane, same reason. Kelce because they will try to let him retire as an Eagle.

It's funny, I don't really care about the NHL or NBA, so I don't waste my time watching it and then ****ing about how much I hate them. That guy is really a special kind of dumb I guess.

September 7, 20214 yr Since we're talking about ribs I'll give some input about my style even though nobody cares... I use the 2-2-1 method at 215 on the smoker as some others have mentioned. The last 1 usually is more like 20 minutes though since that's when I crank the heat to about 375 and brush on the bbq sauce to finish them off. First thing I do is peel off the membrane and trim down the ribs (duh). Then I wet them with apple cider vinegar and apply a heavy amount of dry rub seasoning. Cook them just as they are unwrapped for the first 2. Before putting them back on for the second 2 I coat them with honey and then pack on some brown sugar then wrap them in foil. Why? I saw it on a rib competition show and literally every contestant did this. I tried it out one time and I've done it this way ever since. For the last 1 (or half) as stated previously I turn up the heat and cook the bbq sauce in until they get a little color. I like my ribs to rip off the bone fairly easily when biting them but not just completely fall off the bone as soon as you pick them up. My grill/smoker is a Masterbuilt gravity series 560 and I love that thing. I stack the tube with alternating coals and hickory wood chips (not soaked) and the smoke on them comes out just how I like it. Can't wait to get back home and grill up some ribs.
September 7, 20214 yr I'm looking forward to the "Big 3" of Smith, Watkins and Reagor. Don't argue with me, that is what they are called, ESPN even told me so!
