That would equate to 243.5 combined passing/rushing yards per game.  Not gonna get it done in the current NFL.

His two leading receivers did not break 1000 yards, and had 64 ( Golden Tate ) and 50 ( Doug Baldwin ) receptions.  Next two receivers, Marshawn Lynch had 36 catches and TE Zach Miller had 33 catches.

If our receiving stats ended like Seattle the year you referenced, people would be pissed and the team would not be good.

Devonta Smith - 64 catches for 898 yards and 5 TD's

Jalen Reagor - 50 catches for 778 yards and 5 TD's

Miles Sanders - 36 catches for 316 yards and 2 TD's

Zach Ertz - 33 catches for 387 yards and 5 TD's

Quez Watkins - 22 catches for 346 yards and 4 TD's

Dallas Goedert - 20 catches for 272 yards and 1 TD

I'm assuming you took his per game average and applied it to the 17th game here. The Eagles are going to pass more than the Seahawks did in 2013, so I would expect in this best case scenario that Hurts's yards per game would be higher but still not in line with the top-12 to 15 guys in 2021. My focus is more on the TD/INT ratio, QB rating, YPA, etc.

What does an encouraging season from Hurts look like for you? Specifically, in my words from the original post, what would Hurts have to do for you to be "on-board for 2022"?

I know that, but you originally said that those projected Hurts numbers weren't that bad because they're comparable to those three. Given that two of the three have arguably the top 2 rushing attacks in football, do you still feel that way knowing Hurts won't?

2020 they had a 800 and 700 yard rusher on top of Lamar's 1000 yards.

2019 they had a 1000 and 700 yard rusher on top of Lamar's 1200 yards.

Side note prediction, @4for4EaglesNest starts pounding the table that we should have drafted his hero Kyle Pitts after he runs wild through our secondary.

Naw. He'll be pounding the table over Reshawn Slater @4for4EaglesNest

Hell of a shirt.

For some reason stealing from insurance through fraud is not viewed enough as a crime.  It is a yearly multi billion issue for Medicare.  Did anyone see the idiot that threw himself to the ground in NJ the other day claiming a Tesla hit him?  No clue as to how many cameras there are on a Tesla.  Well, yep, the Tesla recorded it.

What’s a further shame is I believe the Gene Upshaw fund is self funded by the NFL.  In other words, it is not funded by insurance premiums but comes straight from the pocket to help former players with medical expenses.  So in essence they stole from other former players that might have actual real medical expenses and we know most lower level players aren’t very good at putting away money for later.

Insurance goes back to Ben Franklin’s time and before with Lloyd’s syndicates underwriting cargos.  There were rules about flotsam and jetsam so that if someone else’s cargo was lost or jettisoned, all owners or underwriters of cargo shared the risk.  Back in Franklin’s day the fire insurance funded a fire brigade.  Show up at a fire and the house didn’t sport the door emblem for the right fire group, they didn’t try to fight the fire.  It also funded damage.  If 100 owners insured their properties and one had a fire, the loss is spread amongst 100 owners.

There is risk assessment built into underwriting so the riskier the risk, the higher the rate.  I am across the street from a hydrant, a quarter of a mile from the fire house and brick and aluminum clad.  That gives me a pretty good fire rating.

Heck, the biggest insurer of autos is a mutual insurance company, State Farm.  They aren’t driven to profits and paying dividends to the company owners.  There are no "owners”, per se.  If they charge more in premium than actually needed, they pay dividends back to the policyholders (customer isn’t quite the right word). Basically the policyholders are insuring each other. So sort of like the Upshaw fund, the money is shared on a loss basis.  My own insurance is with a mutual.  Cheat a mutual and you are cheating other people within the mutual just like these players cheated other former players.  If someone broke into your house and stole $100,000 worth of your stuff or reached into your 401k, what would you think would be the right punishment?  This isn’t a victimless crime.  The shame isn’t that they were caught like so many fraudsters and embezzlers think, it is in what they took from others.  Jail time is warranted.

Employee misclassification and insurance premium fraud are rampant in the workers' compensation industry.  The other big source of fraud is fraudulent billing by medical providers to carriers.

Yes. I feel like 250 total yards per game is acceptable on a superficial level.

Are we run heavy? Are we a slow paced offense? Did those numbers come in garbage time? We’re we a winning team and limited pass attempts in the fourth quarter? There is way too much to it then to simply write off a number as unacceptable without context.

Why would Miami and Norfolk want the Seattle / Indy game?

The Phillies have a new manager

Hurts' job is not to pad stats but score points, he's the leader of the offense.

If the Eagles score more than 25 ppg he's a success. That's about the median offense (24.8).

Given the Eagles relative offensive skill talent (OL above average, TEs above average, WRs?, RBs average) that would be a good season for essentially a rookie QB.

People put too much weight on QB stats, QB yardage does not win games, offensive TDs win games.

If someone wears a large, are they small?  Or are you just fat because you wear XL? 😂

Run the triple option and let Miles Sanders and the rest of the RBs get the stats.
