The Eagles defense haven't been good against the run or pass so far this season.  After holding Matt Ryan to 21/35 and 164 yards, the last 3 games have been:

Jimmy G -- 22/30 and 189 yards with 1 TD and 0 INT

Dak -- 21/26 and 238 yards with 3 TDs and 0 INT

Mahomes -- 24/30 and 278 yards with 5 TD and 1 INT

That means in the last 3 games QBs have been 67/86 (77.9%) for 705 yards with 9 TD and 1 INT.  I seem to remember even in the preseason games the opposing QB was carving up the secondary pretty badly.

A lot of people saying Hurts was really good today. I think you can argue he played the best game of his short Eagles tenure, but was he "good good” today? I don’t think so. He missed two freebie TD throws and his pocket presence continues to be a problem. He was protected super well all day but he always leaves the pocket way too soon. Was he bad? Far from it. But was it some great game? Hell no.

Peoples standards have fallen since QB play in this city has sucked since 2017.

I think he was better in Atlanta. Today he was ok. But to call it really good or the best? Eh. A few weeks from today what are we going to remember from his performance from this game that was good? I really can’t think of anything memorable.

Finally some good news today.

I’m excited for this Bucs/Pats game, but I’m having a tough time figuring out who I want to lose more.

Probably the Bucs, the better the Patriots record the better odds of getting a good 1st round pick from Dolphins

This is the correct take.

Disagree. He’s been reliable for us, and been good this season. Thru 2 seasons he’s been best CB on the team in a very long time

He's been average at best yet he makes 17 million this year.

He has 1 Int in 19 games as an eagle.

He had a good game against the falcons like every body else and has been invisible since.

Against the niners he gave up 2 tds, against the cowboys like the rest of the team he was invisible and today he got abused again.

I actually think the Dallas game clouded the view of today's game.

The choice not to run often today made sense given the state of our OL and the quality of the Chief's secondary.  But after MNF, it had a different meaning.

I’m talking about Slay.

He hasn’t really been targeted. He covered Kelce a bunch today if memory serves.

An invisible CB is a really good thing!

Wasn’t a fan of his deal given his age and injury issues last season. He’s only going to get older and more injury prone. I don’t expect him to play every game this year. Just another Howie bandaid for being unable to draft a competent CB1.

The Graham injury was such a hit to this defense. Not only from a leadership standpoint but as a run defender as well. The D has been absolutely gashed the past two weeks on the ground. His presence is missed massively there.

Yup sweat and Barnett have been awful in run support and invisible as pass rushers.

The loss of graham has been big.

Who won predictions?

When I read his post that's the word I thought of.  I wasn't really paying attention this week, but one of my co-workers said they were hyping this game like a mini SB and the NBC evening news was broadcast live from the stadium.  For a regular season game?  I know it's Brady returning to NE, but overkill.  So yeah, meteor.

When Clyde Edwards Helaire is busting out over 7 yards a carry, why not?

True, but it’s Andy they had more runs than throws, that could not have happened in many of those 200 wins, like 3 maybe.

I get they're big name franchises, but there aren't many teams more boring to watch than the Steelers and Patriots these days. They shouldn't be in national TV games anymore.

Time to start giving those spots to newer more fun up and coming teams.

Bruh, I tagged you in the post!

@Iggles25

You got your bonus prediction correct though

Think what you want, I already posted the facts. Here’s another fact, Jalen hurts is hot garbage.

Anyone who thinks Jalen Hurts is playing good ball needs mental help. He’s benefited from two bad defenses in ATL and KC and had garbage time stats against SF and Dallas.

Scary cause it just giving Sirianni and the FO something to grab on to a say it’s a positive.

Interceptions are like sacks, those stats get overhyped. Also, What??? Jimmy G ran in for a score, and the other TD happened on other side of the field? How are either of those Slay’s fault?

Being invisible is a good thing. Today he didn’t get abused. He gave up 4 catches for 23 yards.

Apologies didn’t see it. Had to tap out during the game it was brutal in here!

What matters is the FO. And I don’t think Lurie is going to pleased with this dink and dunk offense

Yes normally not hearing a CBs name is a good thing, and when 1 pays a CB 17 mil a year one would expect he does more than be invisible, it's not like he's shutting guys down week after week, against the cowboys he was useless, against the niners he gave up 2 tds, he's had 1 good game this year and been a non factor in the other 3 and eagles fans are fine with him because we'll at least he's not Jalen Mills, Byron maxwell, Carey Williams or nambdi?

That's a pretty low bar.

He needs to do more as does the eagles highest paid player Fletcher Cox, who has been reduced to a space eating NT which is fine if he actually made a tackle every once in a while, those guys aren't generally teams highest paid players.

That's two of the teams highest paid defenders basically being role players, doesn't seem like a good allocation of resources.

Yay Howie👎

Hurts is the king of garbage time and bad defenses. He didn't lose us the game today, but he isn't the answer. He's afraid to stand still for more than a second.

What the hell is growing on Brees head?

Read the comments on this YT video. Apparently Hurts is developing into an MVP lmao

It’s laughable to watch Hurts lock on and run when it’s covered.

Do they even talk about going through progressions?
