You can’t measure success of a TE like Goedert solely on the number of catches.  Blocking matters. But this idea that he is top five is ludicrous, brought on by Pederson’s use of 12 personnel and PFF measurements.   His hands aren’t Kittle or Kelce consistent.  The Eagles can get goid blocking and inconsistent hands from Stoll. I suspect Goedert isn’t extended due to a break over evaluation.   So franchise him for between $10 or $12 and develop his replacement.  Unless Goedert is willing to sign a  reasonable extension, I am open to trading him too.  Jackson likely has a spinous or traverse process fracture and should be ready for practice in the next couple of weeks.

In 1999 and 2016, those were flawed teams that were not going to compete, but you could see pieces coalescing into place.  Then, it was easier to get excited about a win in a lost season.  Now, from the owner, to the GM, to the HC, to the franchise QB (if you want to call him that)...I'm not sure we have ANYTHING in place.  Makes it a lot harder to "just enjoy" a win.

I didn't even see the game, I don't like Hurts, and I'm beginning to think Siri is an idiot. I'm still glad that we won because deep inside I want to be wrong about our team not being good enough to compete.

There's a chance Goedert doesn't want to be here anymore. 4 years and he's always played second fiddle. Expected his extension to be done before the season but talks broke off because "Eagles wanted to go in a different direction." That’s not exactly a fair assessment. How is he supposed to have more catches when the offense can’t stay on the field? Yesterday the offense had less than 100 yards halfway through the third quarter. The longer the offense is on the field, the more opportunities for targets. It basic math.

People complain Sirianni sucks as a play caller and Hurts can’t throw the ball, but somehow our pass catchers are supposed to have truckloads of catches? How does that work?

Even before this I was suggesting that Goedert is the tight end you move.  Even if he was producing at a Pro Bowl level, I would still say they should unload him before he gets paid.  It just doesn't make sense from a financial standpoint for the Eagles based on their needs vs. cap space.

Shouldn't we be getting Tyree Jackson back soon? I know It was supposed to be an 8-10 week injury but I haven't heard anything about him at all since.

Rewatched the game and Milton Williams had himself a nice game in the time he was in there. Was very active and drew a holding penalty. He didn't get credit for it, but he blew up the blocker on the play where Ryan Kerrigan finally got on the stat sheet for the first time this year. Tarron Jackson had some decent reps as well.

He was spotted at practice last week working off to the side with trainers. First time he's done this so I'd say he's probably still a few weeks away.

If it's Ertz or Goedert, Howie needs to be on the phone with the Cardinals ASAP.  They are loaded, the NFC isn't looking too strong and they could make a serious SB push.

They only have 1 other tight end on their roster and some journeyman from Penn State on their practice squad.  

If there was ever a time for Howie to trade one of the tight ends, this is it.  You can't ask for a better scenario for him.
