I may have missed it on Sunday, but how was the game?

You didn't see the tweet and video of @4for4EaglesNest and @NCiggles getting arrested for making sweet love in the bathroom ??  Looks like they had a great time.

There are tens of thousands of really bad people who are smart enough not to send their opinions via email.

Not disagreeing with that, there will also be more than 1 person in the thousands of emails investigated, that would be guilty of stupidity or arrogance or both.

you yes, but people like Gruden are not only stupid but arrogant. And there are tons of those types in and around the NFL

If you want me to critique that single play to answer your question -- side-step the rush.  Slide within the pocket.  Most QBs are able to do that, reset and go through their reads again.

Ahhh, we are at the "Hurts can't manipulate the pocket" point of the argument. I will say, we have gone through the greatest hits of the armchair qb experts on this play - he's not accurate, he doesn't go through progressions and now he can't manipulate the pocket.

But ask yourself this. As a coach, do you want him throwing that ball or trying to avoid the unblocked rusher? If only there was a solid example of what happens when a QB tries to sidestep an unblocked DT. Wait, I am being told we actually have tape of your plan in action.

There's an upper limit to that though I'd say. Like Sanders going out of bounds twice under two minutes. How can you coach that out of him? It's just....borderline special needs stupid. I'm glad they pulled him, but my god, how it happens in the first place is insanity. I can maybe give a free pass for it to happen one time....but twice? On the same damn drive???

He somehow topped Hightower cutting inside last year with no timeouts and 30ish seconds left instead of simply running out of bounds.

Wanna hear a worse prediction?  I need to be at a work event thursday evening.  At Top Golf in Myrtle Beach, so not too bad.  But it's an industry thing and I'll be needing to small talk/talk shop the whole time.  Probably best, to keep my eyes off of the drubbing on the screen.  I predict I disappear by 9:30.

Just find a Tampa fan to chat with the whole time.

And just wait, there is 12 more games to take the stupidity to epic levels.

A mobile QB should be able to avoid a single DT who beats his block.  If you consider that premise weak, then I guess there isn't much more to discuss.

I said it to my buddies while we were at the game.  Especially when Hurts threw the ball out of bounds on a free play.  We have one of the dumbest teams I have seen in a while.

You forgot the weekly Barnett brain fart.

We should make a drinking game out of it. At least at that point we will get something positive out of it.

Let's look at Reagor's entire professional career up to this point. I'd say describing him as lacking football intelligence is an apt description.

I would add to this there’s a lot of times where his body language just sucks when he’s out there. You watch him it feels like he is just going through the motions because either he does not think the ball is coming his way or the game is not going according to how he thinks it should go. And it’s something that was discussed during the pre draft process by Daniel Jeremiah. I thought Reagor could be similar to how Chris Chambers was at the NFL level. The more games go on and pass, the more i just see him having a NFL career similar to that of cordarrelle Patterson (not this particular year with atlanta)

Yes and I was asking specifically what he did on Sunday that was stupid, as all the other players mentioned one could point to a specific stupidity.

I'm frustrated with Reagor I hoped for a lot more and I have no problem with calling him a knuckle head when warranted and I don't think he did anything horribly stupid in Sunday.

Did he leave some plays in the field? Sure, but I don't think it was because he was bei g stupid.

The most unintelligent play I saw all game and maybe all Sunday from all games was Hurts tossing the ball out of bounds on a freebie, that was a galactically stupid play.

Yup he checked out his last year in college because his QB was awful.

Not surprising that he would look disinterested when his current QB isn't getting him the ball

Even the first pass of Sundays game to reagor on a comeback that he dropped was a horribly thrown/ placed ball.

Should be an easy pitch and catch but the throw was so short and off that it was a much harder catch than it needed to be.

Sure he should still catch it but sheesh a much better throw increases chance it will be caught.

I'm not going to throw in the towel on reagor just yet, id like to see how he does with a QB who can come off his first read and deliver the ball accurately, hurts does neither

I'm seeing quite a few KR bringing the ball out of the end zone so far this season; I've never agreed with it because 1) coverage teams are getting really good at keeping returns from even getting to the 20 and  2) the sheer amount of illegal blocks the refs are calling on KR makes me suspicious the NFL really doesn't want to see KR being done.

Having said that, Reagor made quite a nice KR the previous game, and when the offense is sitting on 3 points or 6 points I don't have a problem with a player trying to make something happen on ST if the offense isn't getting it done.

I’d say it’s a toss up, that one, and not knowing what to do about the ball snapped over his head in the end zone.  Bend down, put your hand a few inches apart and Scoop the ball out of the back of the Fing end zone, or foot wedge it out of the back, just don’t stare at like your waiting to have a conversation with it.

Re-watched the condensed version of the game, and something sticks out that I couldn't put my finger on earlier.....I really, really hate how dumb our players are.

From Barnett and his seemingly endless penalties and mistakes (though he played well Sunday), to Hurts throwing it out of bounds on an offside play that was a free toss, even if intercepted, to Sanders running out bounds not once, but TWICE after the 2 minute warning when we had a lead. That doesn't even cover Reagor and his stupidity. Then Ward, who can't run a simple pick play (and you have Ertz doing it in week 1 properly, just do what he did goddammit, look back for the ball and they wont call you on it); and finally Singleton taking a stupid penalty on DJ Moore after Moore gave himself up well behind the LOS. Just stupid, stupid plays. I'm not sure if coaching can fix this stuff, as a lot of it is just basic football 101.

I think the most frustrating one is the Hurts throw away. He knew enough that he had the defender nailed for offside, as he motions for the WRs to head upfield.....why, why, why would you throw that ball out of bounds? It's beyond comprehension to me. As a QB, he's gotta know the rules? And, I've seen the thought that he didn't want to throw it out of bounds, but he was just inaccurate and missed....I mean, that's even worse. I was OK to see how he developed this year, but that singular play swung the pendulum so far for me, I'm past the point of no return for him I think.

Barnett, Sanders, Reagor, Hurts, all appear to be very low level football intelligent, which further cracks Howie's drafting process. Stop drafting idiot players.

There's a lot of stupid penalties and decisions, including Ward's penalty, that are the result of a poorly coached team.  I mean sure Sanders deserves blame for the play but why is the team running a speed option lateral to the LOS to kill the clock.

Yup, ever since they changed the rules to get rid of wedges and such KR have become increasingly difficult

I think Instead of implementing rules to discourage or decrease KR the league should Instead think outside the box like the XFL and make innovative changes to KR that don't decrease KR but Instead keep them a big part of the game and increase safety.

Surprised not surprised the NFL hasnt adopted xfl KR rules.

Why wouldn't it? The constitution is apparently racist as are those who wrote it.  You have those involved in writing it who have had their statues torn down, names removed from schools.  Why wouldn't Independence Hall be an eventual next target of those who want to destroy our history?
