I don't seem to have that issue anymore. beer really sets it off so I don't bother drinking it anymore Yeah I can get away a couple drinks if they're early enough, but anything after 10pm is asking for terrible. When it does act up, I can manage it by adding a small bit of baking soda to water and drinking a bottle of it before bed and again when I wake up. I probably need to see a doctor about it at some point to see if I should just continue to keep it in check with diet alone or if he thinks it's bad enough that I should go on some sort of meds.

I was told that it's nothing to play with and I should go get it checked out as well. That and I think I have an ulcer. Again with beer if I even have one I throw it up it makes me that nauseous

I'm usually good for several weeks before I slip up and try to push my luck. Getting old sucks.

Getting old sucks. It does, I was grilling for my parents on the 4th and I was drinking hard watermelon cider and I was completely fine. I finished those and my dad offered me a beer and I was like ok I'll have one with him .... Nope, half way through I had to dump it out and I was doubled over on the couch for the rest of the night.

Damn, that's pretty immediate then. Mine acts up in the middle of the night, or sometimes my throat just feels dry or sore the next day. Getting in the habit of sleeping on my left side only has helped too.

I didn't even know what the acid reflux was I thought it was just the normal throwing up in your mouth when you burp lol. So yeah, describing it to someone who has it told me what it was. I was like no wonder it burns my throat and is vile tatsing as hell.

July 16, 20223 yr Man, you guys are old. Had six beers (over 5-6 hours) yesterday to kick off the weekend down the shore. Up and completed wordle, no hangover or nuttin'. Lest you think I'm bragging, I didn't drive to work or anything.

Prices plummeting by me. I paid $3.90 today in Florida. I knew Biden had this. At this rate it should be down to around a dollar a gallon soon like back when I was a teen.

July 17, 20223 yr Saudis could have increased their production months ago if they were pressed. That's what kills me. Not that I'm a fan of Trump, but he found the correct way to play the Saudis: threaten to pull the US military out of Saudi Arabia.

July 17, 20223 yr 3 hours ago, EaglesRocker97 said: Maybe, but that has to seem like an empty threat. Well it actually worked before. Back when COVID started and oil demand plummeted the Saudis started pumping oil like crazy to F over Russia. They knew the end users would get backed up. The Saudis could just keep parking tanker ships off shore, but the Russians use pipelines, and once a pipeline is at capacity you can't move anything else through it, so they couldn't sell their oil. So with the Saudis pumping so much out, the price dropped well below the level that was needed for American oil recovery to be profitable (oil sands are more expensive to extract oil from). So Trump called them and asked them to stop, and when they said no, he said well then kiss the US goodbye and you can fend off Iran yourself. The Saudis then cut back on production. For as much as Trump was a buffoon and didn't get international politics, he got that one right. I think the issue with Biden and others on the left is that they treat every other country like a European one and try and soften things over, when in reality every now and again you're gonna have to be an a-hole. It's just that Trump was an a-hole all the the Fn time.
