Those doing mocks don’t always do their homework.  I’ve found a lot of inaccuracies in them (like not taking into account picks that were traded, etc).

Lol Redskins in playoffs.....the 7th spot is such a joke.

They never should have messed with the previous format and added a 7th seed.  But you just know that sets up adding an 8th seed somewhere down the line.  They are just watering down the product.

Ugh....regardless of what happens from here on out, we really don't deserve to be in the playoffs this year. Yet, there is still a decent chance we might.

Why? That 7th playoff spot, the softer than Charmin schedule and the fact that there simply aren't enough good teams in the conference

Yup. Half the league will be in the playoffs, and you’ll see a bigger increase in losing records making it in as well.

Six teams was better than 7 (7 makes zero sense).  But if given a choice, I'd prefer 8 to 7.  Then no teams get a 1st round bye - I do like that idea.

I’m ok with a bye. Nice incentive for being the best in your conference, although sometimes a bye can work against teams also.

At least the draft should be interesting. 3 first round picks, hopefully 2 in the top 10 should go a long way in turning this team around. But will they make the right pick is the question.

Too bad the Aints crapped the bed on Thursday night.  A win would have pushed that Indy pick up to 13.

I like it. The more teams that can talk themselves into playoff hope, the less games I have to watch with teams that have given up. And playoffs are playoffs. Even a seventh seed has a legit chance imo.

Updated the first post as tonight's game will have no bearing on the current positioning.

Current status of the Eagles picks (to include the one from Indy since currently we would get it based on Wentz's snap count %):

12 (from Miami)

13 (our own)

17 (from Indy)

Why Vikings beat the Lions?

Looking like the Giants are closing in on 2 top 10 picks.

With Minny's loss it pushed their pick up ahead of our first 2 picks (the one from Miami and our own).

Same with the Jets.

It only makes sense if you're looking exclusively at draft position. But if you're rooting for the Eagles to make the playoffs, you obviously wanted the Vikings to lose.

Picks vs playoffs. Mindset is all mixed on this stuff.

It is possible to take both into consideration … playoffs when it comes to our pick, positioning for best slot possible with the other 2 picks.

Yeah I guess to me dropping Minny out of the PO picture is first and foremost.

Cool they will probably take a running back and a QB again

I had hopes of being able to land Kayvon or Hutch with a top-3 / top-5 Miami pick. That is all but dead now

My thinking is, if we take care of our own business, Minny wouldn't be a factor so I wanted them to win to bump the Miami pick up.  If we don't navigate one of the easiest remaining schedules then we really have no business being in the playoffs.

I’m not sure if we make the playoffs if Minny kept winning. They needed to at least drop behind us. Now the Eagles basically control their own destiny. The only team in front of them right now that really matters is WFT and they play them.
