Golabki/Golumpki's are basically the same thing. Just the Polish version, and usually easier to find at farmers markets etc. Like pierogis instead of vareniki. All good hearty stuff.

October 18, 20241 yr I was blown away to be traveling to Houston for business, and it is a kolache paradise. First day there a guy brings an assortment box of breakfast kolaches. I am missing them right now, they were the best I ever had.

My step-grandfather, pappap, was polish and my maw used to make him something I thought they pronounced as halupkis. Maybe they said it with a g.
