April 22Apr 22 Some footage has been released for Mando/Grogu. Not sure it really makes me want to watch it even on streaming
April 22Apr 22 shadow lord is meh. i mean i'll watch it, but my interest doesn't go beyond, its something to watch at this point. omg i'm such a toxic fan!
April 28Apr 28 Author Rewatching Andor because my son hasn't seen it yet, he finally decided he wanted to. Season 1 is so damn good. I can't help but think when I watch the better SW content since ep 3 Revenge of the Sith was made (Andor, Rogue One, most of Mandalorian seasons 1-2, The Clone Wars), how things should have gone. They could have done some amazing things that were great content, pleased the OG fans, created new characters to continue the story and please everyone. It really shouldn't be that difficult.
April 29Apr 29 Yup. Its a great example of when a bad exec team fumble a generational product and revenue honey pot. Its an achievement to make a passionate fan base known for spending money stop caring.
May 1May 1 They could save the franchise and make Mando a hit if the movie somehow were to decanonize the sequel trilogy.
May 5May 5 Some talk appeared over the past couple of days that the recent efforts in Star Wars are getting the Star Trek Kelvin timeline treatment and being dumped in an AU, and Ahsoka S2 will do that with some world between worlds stuff. Everything post the ROTJ will go so they can start again.Sounds like wishful thinking based on gossip, but alongside Marvel just ignoring Phases 4 to 6, its not without precedence in Disney or the industry. Its been 3 years since the Rey film got announced and that seems to be DOA

Its been 3 years since the Rey film got announced and that seems to be DOAIt does sound like wishful thinking. But even within the sequel trilogy, they pivoted from the fan reaction. Ep 9 was trying to address things fans didn't like about ep 8. There are likely ways they can retcon without ishing all over what they already did, similar to ep 9. They could suggest that Rey was able to pick up the force so easily because she was a Palpatine but now that he's gone, she could have a SpiderMan 2 kind of "lost my mojo" thing where she has to almost start over in some ways. Fans didn't like she was a Mary Sue who didn't struggle but could just do everything including masterfully flying the Millenium Falcon. So having her struggle, have to learn and grow could be a change.I also think they could have some characters that are like the old guy in Ahsoka. Former Jedi who never finished training and fled from Order 66. There should be force sensitive people all over the galaxy. There could be others and make it more a team rather than Rey as the big hero. They could even have Finn be force sensitive and train as a Jedi. From enslaved stormtrooper to Jedi was a story many wanted to see. There are ways they can do it that sort of ignore some things about the sequels and just move on.
May 5May 5 They can do that, but I am not sure if the fans will engage with a timeline that has largely been not great quality, ever again. Its toxic. A good indicator is the opening for the Mando film looks to be worse than Solo was.But Harry Potter has shown that (on the whole) you can recast the OGs and keep/make people happy if it looks authentic/respectful of the OG work. I'm sure they'd want to redo the OG trilogy, but I can't see the fans would tolerate that change. Baby steps
May 5May 5 In rebels the Emperor uses the world between worlds…since "somehow palpatine has returned”…always thought an easy way to get rid of 7-9 would be to have him shown manipulating the wbw to give himself an heir as - eternal life and whatnot. Essentially making those movies a side story that only existed because of his powers - once Rey kills him that timeline disappears. It’s a stretch but those movies are so unpopular I think fans would buy it. Pretty clear they want the mandoverse to be the sequels.
May 5May 5 Author Ahsoka show also already used the world between worlds to give Hayden Christenson more screen time as Anakin. JJ Abrams: multiverse and time travel? We moved the island in Lost. We did time travel in Star Trek. Let me cook! LOL
May 6May 6 +JJJ was a creator of Fringe (via Bad Robot), which ended up with multiverses. So I guess a common theme in Modern Sci Fi is that multiverses kind of sucks, and JJ is to blame... Apart from Marvel where its all on Feige & Iger firing all the decent creatives and replacing them idiots.
May 6May 6 rewatching the saga and i'm at the point where im annoyed at how many times they could've stopped anakin/vader. obi-wan multiple times.

When needed they could either be:-amazing & feared or inept & weak-wise, sense everything & see the future or stupid & clueless-skilled warriors who take out multiple enemies or easily defeated by an old man to let the Sith winLet's not forget the superhuman abilities like speed running like The Flash in the opening of ep 1 or insanely high jumps only to never do it again.
May 13May 13 Ahsoka S2 has reportedly been delayed until early 2027 - the last series came out in 2023. Not sure how many people even remember what went on by then
