Bummer,   when I do have that problem, I do a "re-set"-  If I am up in the middle of the night for more than 10-15 mins, I get out of bed, do something relaxing for about 20 mins- read, play solitare etc...   then get back into bed, doing a few relaxing breathing excersises, let my mind go blank - and that usually works.

Last night when I got up to pee, I went back to bed, and did 2 deep breaths, with slow and total exhales, and was out again in less than a minute.

Too much work.  I'd rather just lay there and get mad at not being asleep.

Joe Burrow

I'm also not saying Pickett is going to suck.

Brady never had a big year, struggled to secure the starting job, lacked exceptional physical traits, and played through all 4 years and wasn't young.  But he was also drafted in round 6 for a reason.

Maybe Pickett is the next Brady and will be even better than Burrow.

I just don't think he checks the objective boxes (which are not perfect for projecting success anyway) that most first round QBs check.

I watch old boring movies. I might try the breathing though....................thanks

Try not breathing... eventually you'll pass out.   WINNER!!!

But like I said, the heights of Burrow's monster year vastly exceeded Pickett.

Yup.  Pickett was missing Chase, Jefferson, and Terrace Marshall with all sorts of throws.  Disgraceful.

Ward never would have had a career in the NFL if not for the Eagles.  It appears he still might not make any other roster in the NFL.  His ability to unexplosively run the right route and catch the ball either against zone defense or when coverage breaks down actually separated him from our other WRs at times...but he still is not an NFL quality player.

Burrow can palm a basketball and smoke cigars.  Pickett can palm a cue ball and smoke cigars.

When I was much younger, I would just take a few hits of the pipe and would be out in no time. But I haven't done that since like 1990?

Pickett is nothing like Joe Burrow.  Pickett will be 24 before he plays a snap in the NFL.  Burrow was a 2 year starter in college.  Pickett was a 4 year starter.  Burrow played at two elite programs.  Pickett was recruited by Temple and went to Pitt.  Burrow can palm a basketball and smoke cigars.  Pickett can palm a cue ball and smoke cigars.  Pickett might be one of the top 30 players in his class.   Burrow was the best player in his class.  Pickett is someone who we might want to take a chance on maybe if he slides to the mid teens....kinda sorta?

Burrow is cool.  Pickett went to Pitt.

Burrow turned 24 during his first NFL season, Pickett will turn 24 as training camp starts.  Except for the path to their senior year, they are pretty similar.

With you on all but Ridder. I think he can develop into a quality starter but will take some time. Hell of an athlete

I'm a Ridder guy. The clay is there, just needs some molding. Personally I trade Jalen, draft Ridder and start Minshew for 2022.

As I said when everyone was flipping out, he's here in a camp competition only. Glad to see it "on paper" spelled out.

Point remains. If you have to point at outliers to justify your strategy, the debate has been lost.

My point was appreciating Afan's commitment to being consistently wrong.

Sure....age they would be similar.  Nothing else about them is similar.  Except for the fact that neither of them saved people from a falling railing.....

Same size, arm strength, is the difference between 8 5/8 and 9 inch hands really that much ??

I got ya beat.  This summer.  Big weekend in Cape May.  Deep sea fishing.  BBQing.  Partying until at least 10 pm on one of the nights.  Might stay up past 11 another night.  Who knows.  Could get wild.

Did somebody say fishing...

That really sucks for Wydermyer who is supposed to be one of the top TEs in the class.

Leal continues to unimpress.

I think she covers Pittsburgh the most.  Would love to see them bypass the Eagles (or better yet, trade with the Eagles) to take Pickett.

Tried something a little different...

Traded down 16 to 32/34 with DET so they could grab Pickett ahead of the Saints. Willis and Corral went to ATL and SEA respectively. Just need to trade away Hurts somewhere.
