The problem is that many teams will reach for their QBs. So if a team likes Willis and drafts around the 20's because they dont think he'll still be there at their 2nd round pick, we're gonna have to draft him higher to get him. That's not a game worth playing IMO

OK so we sit tight, draft what players fall into our laps, maybe even trade a pick in order to get a additional first next year.

What happens then? Is there a QB in next years draft, that we will be willing to out bid all the other teams to get to a place we can gaurantee we will get him? And does that gaurantee that QB will work out?

Either way is a gamble. If our coaches and scouts feel strongly enough to trade up for a QB in this draft, Its ok with me.

I am ALSO OK if they dont feel that strong about any of them, if they think we need to sit this one out.

Man, Sheil just eviscerated the Eagles in a 5 minute tangent  for putting out spin of their offseason re-signing their own guys as a big part of their moves.

He basically said look you missed out on Robinson, Williams, and some others. If you didn't have all that dead money on your cap, maybe you would've been able to outbid teams for some of these players. Then said fans have every right to question their moves, because there's no obvious path out of the middle for the Eagles right now, which is where they've been since the SB. To stop worrying about trivial things like putting out spin through media people and just focus on the draft and free agency.

There is still a QB available who was my ideal pickup this offseason.

Jimmy G has played 2 full seasons and made the NFC championship game both times. You can say he doesn't put up elite numbers, but he's played on run heavy teams his entire career. He's super accurate and has an insane ypa statistic. he led the league in ypc last year, and has an insane 8.6 ypa. That wasn't a Deebo anomaly, as his career is 8.4

8.4 YPA at 67.7 completion % is outstanding. He's not top 10, and hes not worth a 1st.... but hes still young enough to be our QB for 5+ years, or at least until we get a real successor in place

I would not say no to this,, but I bet most in here would.

Willis has all the tools, at an elite level at that.

Question is, can he put it all together?

Some might argue that being able to put it together is the most important tool of all.

Any word on whose at Willis pro-day?

366 runs against 618 passes in college -- just a grotesque 59.2% run/throw ratio.  Playing against scrubs

There's very little to "put together".  Willis will be the most over-drafted player in the draft.

Good he didn't go to Cowboys, but Vikings are having a decent offseason.

Not defensive at all.  You tried to get bold, got called out on it and then "moved on”.

You’re so sure about Pickett that if they miss out on him, you compare it to Wilson?   That’s ridiculous.  You should watch more college football and NFL if you think that’s remotely possible.

Regarding the "IF THEY THINK BE HAS THAT POTENTIAL” line.  You’re ok with giving the same guys who drafted Hurts the benefit of the doubt with Pickett?

I am not even sure what you are talking about.

I merely stated if they took PIckett, I am ok with it. Thats an opinion. You are not ok with it.( also an opinion)

Good. we can agree to disagree. I am moving on.

Admittedly, a sick throw.

Yeah I don't care if he ran a lot in college. Give me that arm over anyone else in this draft if we are going QB this year.

If you love to fish, you have got to come down to Los Cabos.  I run a sportfishing business out of small town called Los Barriles. The diversity and size of the fish (marlin, tuna, dorado, wahoo, yellowtail, grouper, snapper etc) here is ridiculously awesome.  So much fun!!

Sounds like a great way to "come up missing"

There is another book people mention you can probably find on the Amazon page that may not be as advanced. Good luck!!

Too late. Already got it. Thank you for the tip, though.

He had numerous well placed bombs. Also exceptional placement in RZ drills. But he ran too much in college and we have Hurts PTSD so...

That's not a bad thing. I own the one you bought and like it. If you really want to dive into making bread that's the one.

Willis is the best athlete avail at QB this year- and that scares me, QB's who rely on their athleticism in College rarely transform into NFL QB's. I stated it before, when Running QB's become the norm for how teams win championships, thats when I will become a fan.

This may be overthinking it, but I do have a concern about athletes at QB.  Learning to see the whole field is hard.  Holding onto the ball and identifying your 3rd read on the opposite side of the field is hard.  It takes time.  And for a QB who is a major threat to tuck and run...throughout college and the early professional years, if you want to win and do the best thing to move the football, it's usually a better decision just to run than to process the whole field.  The slower, less athletic guys often see the field better and have better, more accurate releases because they've been forced to hone that to perfection from a younger age, as it is their best option.

Running ability delayed Vicks' development, who was actually very talented as a passer.  Running ability delayed Josh Allen's college and early pro development.  Running ability set RG3, another pretty good passer, on the wrong track.

I'm not saying athleticism is actually a negative, but it really can allow players to delay (or even avoid altogether) refining the tertiary skills of an elite passer.

Hard pass just by how he reacted to throwing a pass in shorts flipping out with the high fives. Yeah, it's a great throw, but mentally....you'd never see Rodgers, Brady, even Mahomes possibly acting like that over a pass in practice that was scripted.

Hurts PTSD must stand for present traumatic stress disorder.

Willis needs to sit a year , but he’s going top 10 … incredible arm

So far to me both Malik and Pickett look better than Hurts

Uh Oh, Quincy Avery is Malik Willis private coach. He's going to refuse to get drafted here because he doesn't want to take Jalen' job.

Eagles would need to trade #15, #19 to move up to #5 to get him
