Daniel Jeremiah's latest mock has Travon Walker going 2nd, Jermaine Johnson 7, and George Karlaftis 15. All 5 of the big time DE's gone before the Eagles pick. He has them taking Wyatt, Lloyd, and Mafe.

Ojabo’s injury really stings. I like Mafe a lot, but he’s a big step down IMO.

If Karlaftis goes 15, that means he’s…ours.

In the event that that Walker, Kayvon, and Johnson are gone or beyond trade up range, I would punt on DE in the 1st, and pick the best left available at #51.

Ebiketie, Jackson, Sanders, Enagbare, Ojabo etc

Class is deep enough that there will be a good DE there at #51.

Walker is going to be really good, he's worthy of 2.

The 2017 team was very likely the best team in football on both the offensive and defensive lines, with many good players throughout the team.  They were excellent up front.  Hence they were able to win those playoff games and the super bowl with the backup QB.

The team still retained considerable talent in 2018 and 2019.  In 2018, the team embarked on a "victory tour," half ass-ing most of the season, before turning it on at the end.  They blew the opportunity to mount a real title defense and host playoff games that year, and it was a shame they will long regret.  Coaching didn't provide them with what they needed at that time.  Everyone was basking in the glory of the championship.

Terrible drafting and mostly poor personnel decisions, along with a few ill advised trades, accompanied the natural decline of the aging core of the team.  It's possibly the most precipitous decline of a super bowl winning team with a young QB in history.

I'm not sure about the defensive side. Secondary had issues but the front was very nice

It's alarming how far behind the curve the Eagles are.  Not suggesting they should have traded 5 picks for Hill but it's clear that the majority of NFL teams realize that you need 3-deep at WR.  The dolphins are now 4 deep with Hill, Parker, Waddle and Wilson.  Then you have the AFC West.  Bengals, Browns, Steelers, Buccaneers...the list goes on.

NFC East...Eagles on the bottom looking up.

Dallas- Lamb, Gallup, Washington, Brown

Washington- McLaurin, Samuel, Brown (most likely draft WR high)

NYG- Shepard, Toney, Slayton, Golladay

Eagles- Smith, Reagor, Watkins, Pascal

Just bad.

That's insulting to Watkins and Pascal that you have Reagor ahead of them lol

edge guys I like

Mafe , S Williams , Barno , Bonitto , Enagbare

I like Anderson a lot , but his legal troubles will hurt him

I think Olave and Smith can make a heck of a tandem. On most nights.

Other nights, I think you could occasionally see a defense capable of giving them fits.

I loved Olave 2 years ago and cant get the OSU vs Alabama game out of my mind where he came up small with 69 yards while DeVante shined.

Anyway, when I think of these 2 nearly unguardable route runners with + speed and niftiness after the catch cant I realize that the offense would probably look really efficient with a distributor like Pickett passign them the ball. 2 quick short and intermediate range WRs with an QB who makes good quick decisions and delivers it accurately and in stride. Those 2 could be phenomenal.

Re-sign Nelson. Sign Mathieu. Suddenly you have a solid secondary, with an improved pass rush. A nice WR corps of Smith, Olave, Quez, Pasquale, and Goedert. And a solid QB with small hands. It kinda looks good.

I cant see anyone being worthy of #2 without sack production.

The scheme he was in affected it a bit. He's a great prospect and projects very well.

A great prospect as in great enough to go 2nd overall should involve production.

Im not knocking him at all. I wish he was going to be available at our pick. But If we had pick 2 Id be really weary.

Pre-injury, I'd have loved Ojabo at 15.

Now, I'm ok taking Hill or Olave/Williams.

In this draft specifically, I would take him at 2. I don't see a lot of stand out no-brainer picks this year.

If all those edge rushers are gone by 15 and they pass on Ojabo simply because he got hurt, they're Fing morons. Would be a terribly shortsighted move. Take the best talents. Who cares if they won't be ready right away. The Eagles have a lot of "nice" players, they need elite talents.

Does Hill project to be a pro bowl quality safety, a cut below elite?

Wilson looked really good catching the ball at his pro day today. I have him on my short list in round 1 if he even gets to 15.

Athleticism is very good. He's just a bit small for a safety. I think he's pretty safe as a center-field safety because his speed will work immediately.

He doesn't have Kyle Hamilton's Mathieu-level upside or Derwin James' freaky athleticism, but he could become a Justin Simmons-level player.

Cine > Hill

I think the Kirk signing along with the Adams and Hill trades is going to start a trend. It's not worth it to pay big money to WR's especially on a third deal. QB's can get away with it because of the lack of options. WR is much easier to replace. Over the long haul the Packers and Chiefs will look much smarter than the Jags, Dolphins and Raiders.

Would just need a QB to get them and Goedert the ball.

💯 Bro I don’t believe the followers Hurts has its crazy! His IG and social media platforms are big time. Do people actually watch football?

I agree but I also like the deal for Miami. They really only gave up a 1st a 2nd and change for a guy who is 27 and has been lights out.

He’s my favorite WR in this draft.  Complete WR.  I want defense in round 1 but I would be fine with Wilson because he would be a great fit.

I'd like it more if they had had a better QB in place and were going all in like the Rams last year. It's like they skipped steps 2 and 3 and just went for the big splash after having an ok roster with an average at best QB.

NFL Fans: The salary cap isn’t real

KC Chiefs: We’ve come to the decision we have to trade TYREEK HILL (mostly for cap reasons).

I hate that Hill trade for both teams, but I hate it less for KC. Mahomes to Hill was special. You can’t replicate that.

Miami has two Ferraris with driver who still has his permit. It’s a waste. If they replace Tua a year from now Hill will have wasted a prime year and the Dolphins probably are going with a rookie QB who also will waste another prime Hill year. Weird choice by Miami.
