He’s my favorite WR in this draft.  Complete WR.  I want defense in round 1 but I would be fine with Wilson because he would be a great fit.

I agree. Problem is we have so many needs, plus you will still need a QB. So you're probably not using all three firsts. You will have to trade at least one to acquire picks next year. But Wilson can play inside or outside. Would be a great weapon to go along  with Smith.

Christian Watson reminds me a little of Andre Reed

It never would have happened because they’re in the same division, but the Chargers trading for Hill would have been incredible. Maybe just as good as with Mahomes.

I hate that Hill trade for both teams, but I hate it less for KC. Mahomes to Hill was special. You can’t replicate that.

Miami has two Ferraris with driver who still has his permit. It’s a waste. If they replace Tua a year from now Hill will have wasted a prime year and the Dolphins probably are going with a rookie QB who also will waste another prime Hill year. Weird choice by Miami.

I agree with the first part. Earlier I said they are taking a step back in 2022 and will likely miss the playoffs, IMO. But they are setting themselves up to prolong the Mahomes window as long as they don't Howie the picks.

I wonder how much the Flores drama has to do with it. Owners meetings are next week, Ross could want to shed that "tanking" label.

I'd like it more if they had had a better QB in place and were going all in like the Rams last year. It's like they skipped steps 2 and 3 and just went for the big splash after having an ok roster with an average at best QB.

It’s totally on Tua now. He’s got weapons and and the top FA Olineman so no excuses. I kinda give a a pass for the last year because he had an average of 2.5 seconds to throw and they really didn’t give him a chance.

I really don’t see that. He’s 6’5 Reed was 6’1-6’2?

Also I don’t think Reed was close to 4.2-4.3 speed.

Watson reminds me of a poor man’s Randy Moss. Which could still be dynamic.

Here’s a blast from the past: Tyrone Calico.

I think Miami will do a lot with Hill and Waddle horizontally. I think it could be a great move for them, even with a limited QB.

Got one worse than that, Dorial Green-Beckham without the laziness

Add Gelsicki to the mix and you got some nice weapons. Also Monstert as a RB could feast.

Also gotta remember McDaniel was putting up solid offensive numbers with Garappolo.  I love Deebo more than many relatives of mine but it's hard to argue against Tua/Hill/Waddle/Gesicki/Wilson/Parker being an upgrade talent wise offensively. I think they're gonna make some noise.

I'm not sure about the defensive side. Secondary had issues but the front was very nice

That's insulting to Watkins and Pascal that you have Reagor ahead of them lol

No order intended.

I think the Kirk signing along with the Adams and Hill trades is going to start a trend. It's not worth it to pay big money to WR's especially on a third deal. QB's can get away with it because of the lack of options. WR is much easier to replace. Over the long haul the Packers and Chiefs will look much smarter than the Jags, Dolphins and Raiders.

Yep. I've pointed this out before, the top WRs in yardage are almost all 28 or younger, the exceptions tend to be big, physical WRs who are more like H-backs, and TEs can stay productive in to their early 30s. Probably because smaller WRs depend on speed and quickness, and that goes first, whereas bigger WRs can use their bodies and ability to snatch the ball to make plays even when they don't get as much separation.

Would be interesting to see how "technicians" age, I suspect better than most WRs. Guys like Bruce and Holt had long careers. That would bode well for Smith.

Dumping most WRs at 28-29 rather than give them big money is the smart money move.

They got two nice picks here. Nothing great tho. Not worth tearing it down to "extend window". You are not really extending anything if you are throwing away the next 2 years, which is the minimum of what is happening here. Would understand if Tyreek was over the hill. Just turned 28 a couple weeks ago. Even if he loses a slight step he will be fast enough. The guy is built. The other  problem here is the whole conference got better, while they got worse. I am sure they will draft well and still be good, but now they are just another team. Lot of holes to fill and Tyreek and that offense masked much of it.

The Chiefs will still be quite successful. The Dolphins…won’t.

And now they can work on some of those other holes and not have a massive salary cap anchor around them. Andy has gotten pretty good at finding new weapons for his offense. They won't be as good as Hill, but they may not have to be.

Of course. But to borrow the Ferrari analogy again, it’s like driving in a residential. Get those bad boys on the interstate. That’s not using them to their full potential.

Maybe Tua will become more aggressive downfield with a new coach and a better line.

John Gannon does love playing his defenders away from the ball.
