I am a big fan of Hill (the football player).  While I ascribe to the notion that Hill was the critical jet fuel behind their offense, he's still a WR in need of getting the ball delivered to him.

I think the most likely scenario is that the Chiefs are a less explosive offense, but still a playoff team.  Their offense actually sputtered at times last year due to inconsistencies from Mahomes, so that (IMO) outlier of a year on offense will actually lower the bar for next year's comparison.  They'll miss Hill, but will still be effective.  Meanwhile, I don't see this putting Miami over the top to overtake the Bills.  6/7 seed seems possible, but with the AFC so stacked, that's a tough playoff ticket to punch.

I think most trades like this do end up being a bit anticlimactic.  Mahomes/Chiefs/Hill were all better together.  Chiefs are unlikely to replace him with a similar talent and the Dolphins are unlikely to get their money's worth.  Everyone loses a bit.
