With the new OT playoff rule, would it make more sense to kick if you win the coin toss?

The committee has come out with the seedings for each region of the 2022 EMB Racist bracket. Got some good matchups

Arrogance starting to creep in again with the Eagles, bad vibes. When the Eagles get really defensive, you know they are disappointed with the way things have gone.

No, because it's sudden death if both teams score. So the team that scores first would get the ball back again unless there was an onsides kick.

I see it as less an issue of a loss at an inopportune time (which it is, but tough luck) as an opportunity to pirate confidential draft boards and scouting to another franchise, which is inappropriate.  It is absolutely reasonable to clamp down on that.  Those types of executive movements should happen after the draft when the slate is wiped clean.

Howie has been demonstrably more annoyed by the Brandon Brown (Giants) hire than Ian Cunningham (Bears) and this is absolutely why.

Yea but to win you are going to have to stop them at least once. If you kick the ball first and successfully hold them to 0, all you need is a FG to win. If you stop them to a FG you can win with a TD. Seems like it's more advantageous to be second. If you receive first and just kick a FG you can lose without getting the ball back.

Kyle Hamilton falling could lead to a fascinating BG/ Earl Thomas 2.0 situation. Imagine they take Karlaftis over Hamilton.

It could be interesting strategy wise. If a team just drove down and scored before the end of regulation and the opposing defense was tired it may be more beneficial to take the kickoff so the same D is put right back on the field.

I'm sure theirs analytical nerds figuring this out right now.

Thats a lot of assumption. Assuming they score, assuming they get the 2, assuming you score, you get the 2.

when you start adding up the odds It probably makes sense to kick the ball now.

Only 20% of scores end in a touchdown. 2 point conversations are 50% basically. Odd tell you to do both is extremely rare.

?

Big fan of Leo Chenal , was watching  some more of him and Matt Henningsen stands out  , lot of explosion to his game , smart player too .

Good thing we have 15/16 so we can take both!

I don't want anything to do with either of them. A pass rusher with no speed and doesn't win along the edge with average movement skills and average at best sack production is bad for a first round pick

And Kyle Hamilton running 4.7 is a box safety. That's a total liability in today's NFL passing game

Name these two OL prospects

Player 1 - 6 foot 4 323 pounds, 4.89 40 yard dash, 27 inch vert, 109 broad, 7.74 3 cone and 4.83 shuttle -  Arm 33.58

Player 2 - 6 foot 4  310 pounds, 4.93 40 yard dash, 29 inch vert, 108 broad, 7.82 3 cone and 4.73 shuttle - Arm 34 inches

Both Cox and Barnett balance being competitive in 2022 (look at that schedule, 11 wins are not out of the question) and continuing to rebuild.

Howie made a good point, the cap is rising 11% per year, so locking up key players on 4 year deals means a lot of cap room freed up in the next few years.

And Eagles have the 5th most cap room left in the NFL, which is typical Howie, give yourself the option of making additional moves now, or roll that money over to next year.

Cox, Hargrave, Williams at DT, replace Ridgeway with a rookie or someone stepping up.

Sweat, Graham, Barnett, Jackson and a rookie.

Next year Cox and Graham are probably gone, Hargrave is a decision to extend or replace. But this buys a year to obtain and groom replacements.

At most Howie could have added one more major FA by overpaying, but that wouldn't have moved the needle very far. He got one key addition and patched holes in the starting lineup going into the draft.

The interesting move will be Dillard, teams might wait until after the 40th pick or so to see if they add an OT who can start in 2022, then if they miss out start calling.

Paper tiger.

Yay! 5th most money left for 2022... of course, they barely signed anyone, and still have more money committed to dead contracts for 2023 than anyone in the league.  Howie is such a genius.

40 times are not indicative of how players perform in the NFL. Game speed is a completely different animal than running a straight line for 40 yards.

40 times 😂😂😂

This is where I get frustrated. ND puts Hamilton on shifty slot WRs, because ND couldn't field other DBs, and he looks slow.

Hamilton is 6'4. You're asking him to cover TEs in the NFL, not slot WRs. What TE is doing this to him?

During the regular season I don’t think there should be an OT at all. You deserve a tie if you can’t win in 4 quarters

What happened to hire the best man you think fits what your looking for? If it is a minority, great. If not why force it. Just out of hand with the league trying to check a box.

Depending on what Gannon wants from the LB’ers, they can count on White in coverage and Chenal can handle everything inside the box, plus he can be used as a pass rusher.

Damn

Wentz is the problem , obviously
