If you get to keep all three firsts, yes. But if we lose one to move up, then it’s less lottery tickets.

Usually the rule of thumb in most drafts is supposed to be the top 15 players are on one tier, then there is a drop to the next level.  Typically 15 true 1st round prospects.

I'd be fine with the Eagles sticking where they are, because my hunch is 3 QBs will go in the top 11-12 picks.  CAR and SEA will almost surely draft QB unless one of them grab Mayfield or Jimmy G (doubtful with his shoulder surgery).  ATL and WAS are quite possibly in the QB market in the 1st round, I'd even say the Giants are a possibility -- depending how they evaluate Pickett and Willis.  PIT are likely to trade up for a QB.

If I was Howie my plan would be to get 3 really good defensive prospects in the first round -- a combination of DL, CB, S.  WR in the 2nd round, OL/LB in the 3rd round.  It will be interesting to see how the board falls.

Hoping DT, DE and WR in rhe 1st.  After watching more of the prospects, I think Christian Watson is quite possibly the best WR in this draft.  Would totally take him in the 1st, safety, CB in 2nd or if there is no DE

Damn

Colts really hated him…I know we dislike Howie but props to Howie for doing what he did with Wentz

Irsay making a charge for worst owner in the NFL.  I really don't think Matt Ryan has much left.

Nobody will ever over take Snyder there

Sounds like it mostly an Irsay thing. Reich was talking him up yesterday.

Not as dumb as this one

What happened to hire the best man you think fits what your looking for? If it is a minority, great. If not why force it. Just out of hand with the league trying to check a box.

Sure sounds like another way of saying what happened to letting people's racial prejudices guide their hiring decisions.

Well yeah I’d imagine Reich would considering Reich was most likely the driving factor in getting Wentz to Indy. Also Reich has a history with Wentz, I imagine those two are friends. He wouldn’t rip him apart in the media like that

Going to be a slooooow month until the draft

Name these two OL prospects

Player 1 - 6 foot 4 323 pounds, 4.89 40 yard dash, 27 inch vert, 109 broad, 7.74 3 cone and 4.83 shuttle -  Arm 33.58

Player 2 - 6 foot 4  310 pounds, 4.93 40 yard dash, 29 inch vert, 108 broad, 7.82 3 cone and 4.73 shuttle - Arm 34 inches

Without cheating, I would guess Dillard and Jason Peters.

Taking one for the Hollywood team, stepping up, and making the Oscars relevant?  Kind of selfless of him, actually.

I'm gonna guess Matt Ryan isn't the long term answer either.

I think he’s got a lot less left in the tank than anyone realizes.  He’s basically the only non practice squad qb last year that Hurts outplayed head to head.

Is it relevant now?  I know this... I won't be tuning in next year either.

Ballard did a great job recouping most of the trade capital, especially considering how Irsay had sewered their bargaining position in any trade.  Ballard bluffed WASH into believing there was another trade suitor for Wentz.

Everything I've heard during the offseason is Colts players all liked Wentz a lot.  Both Johnathan Taylor and Darius Leonard went to bat for him, and Paris Campbell told NFL Radio last week "everyone loved Carson; you will not find any player on the team who would say otherwise"

This was a meddling, unstable owner making the front office's job very difficult.  They'd better hope Ryan has something left and can get them into the playoffs; if not, they're back to Square 1 -- and no established QB will ever want to go there.

That rationale would point to trading up, rather than sitting still.

Trading up and trading back makes sense in this draft given Howies track record.

Wentz is the problem , obviously

Irsay thinks Wentz was the problem. I doubt Reich thought so. I don't know how Ballard felt but if Irsay says Wentz has gotta go, Ballard was going to get the best deal he can. Reich and Ballard were not going to commit career harakiri for Wentz and I can't blame them.

I thought Lurie had been quiet
