So many defensive players... and then we look at this roster, and we say... "Who?"

Interesting choice to show Ricky Watters first.  Hate him because of "for who, for what", but he was great during his brief 3 years here.  Great FA signing.

It's true though, it's a joke what this defense turned into. When you bring up historical players like that, you better be ready to hear it or they better have a plan to try and add players of that caliber.

The good news is that Siriani said we need to get better passing the ball.

With the praise he heaps on Hurts, that statement can be taken as criticism of the receiving options.

With that said, Smith is a homerun. Goedert is excellent. If they draft another 1st rounder, or make an impactful trade at some point, Hurts will be out of excuses and theyll be forced to face the truth and move on.

We will come to the end of the road with Hurts one way or another. By the end of this season at the latest. Sooner if we are lucky.

Smith was wide open a bunch and Hurts missed him

This is why I'm fine either way. Get a legitimate #2 WR and we can fully evaluate Hurts without any question marks at the end of the season. Either he cuts it or he doesn't.

Seems more like an excuse

Keep in mind the honest NFL twitter made the WRs aside from Smith sound like a group of doofuses that had no idea what they were doing last year. This was the selling point on Paschal- to act as a player coach for the group. Because apparently they didnt get adequate coaching from our actual coaching stafff.

Smith was well polished coming in to the NFL. Reagor, Watkins, JJAW, not polished at all.

In the draft its probably best to focus on the WRs with good polish on their game. Maybe not Watson. Maybe not even Wilson or Williams. But yes to Olave, Metchie, and Pickens. These are guys who have run the full route tree, and run them well, and big time programs.

JJAW and Reagor are the only doofuses I'd say. Watskins likely just needs a better QB to develop more

Northern Liberties section of Philadelphia and not so nice anymore. My wife and I moved out about a year and a half ago. Overcrowded. Lots of young people with filthy habits. No parking.

We lived on 4th Street. Kyle Lowry's niece lives a few houses up. Malcolm Jenkins and family lived on American in one of the new houses.

Northern liberties was a blast when I was in school downtown. Can't imagine if have been as big of a fan now that I'm older though. Lots of drunk young people. The restaurant scene along that strip of Frankfurt got really nice though.

But that's not fair.  The team that gets the ball first has an advantage because they'd get the ball twice and the other team only got it once.  I think they should both be guaranteed 2 possessions.  Of course, the first team still has an advantage with 3 possessions to 2 if tied after two possessions.  This problem just can't be fixed.

Maybe the defense should play with only 10 players on the first possession, only 9 after the first, and so on... until there's just 1 guy out there trying to stop the offense.

I don't know why the NFL keeps f'ing around.  Just adopt OT rules similar to ncaa.  Only thing I don't like about the ncaa OT is after the 2nd OT they just have them start at the 2 yard line every time.

Right you are about Frankfurt. Suraya, in particular, is a terrific restaurant. Same people who have Cafe La Maude.

So you are contributing to Jerry Jones wealth this weekend. Makes you feel good?

I'm not paying anything to watch it so I could care less.

Or... just play by a clock for 1 quarter in the playoffs.  15 minutes, winner at the end of the 15 minutes wins the game.

Such a moronic take.  Yeah he's such a jerk with the scholarships he funds and his volunteer time.  How dare he care about social issues and spend his time and money to address problems he's concerned about.  What an a-hole.  He's the best player the Eagles had in the secondary for a decade.

I only dislike him because he left for more money and then pretended like he loved Philly so much and wanted to be here. He was two faced on his way out the door.

He lied to try to save face with the fans here.  Which is more insulting than just leaving for more money- that's understandable.

New OT rule. Both teams get the ball at the same time.

Defense is irrelevant anyway.

Ball placed in the middle and teams start from the end zone. Ruuuun for it!!

LOVED Suraya. Got to go a few times before I left town thankfully. We had a lot of school events at Frankfurt Hall so got to explore the area a lot. Honey's Sit N Eat was a go to brunch spot.  Still miss their Toad in a Hole.

A lot a fun for someone in their mid 20s.  30s+ with a baby I'm sure I'd feel very differently though.

Malcolm Jenkins was one of the best, most reliable Eagles of the 2010s. Up there with Kelce and Graham in terms of reliability; you knew what you were gonna get game in, game out. Seemed to will the defense, especially when they were undermanned. Good dude too.

Whatever team loses the coin toss they have to wear oven mitts the rest of the game.

Yse the NCAA rules but start from your own 50(no chip shot field goals).

Easy peasy.

Yup its so easy.  It's so easy and fair for everyone. Nothing to complain about, although people will find something.  But yet the NFL wants to make things as confusing and complicated as possible and make up new rules.

How would people feel if we drafted Jameson Williams in the first?

Good.

Very excited and hopeful. A little afraid of the tiny sample size of him expanding his game once Metchie got hurt. Hes not my preference. But I wont be upset.

Ecstatic, he is an amazing prospect.

If it weren't for the injury, I would have him ahead of Wilson as the #1 WR in the draft.

Still gassy

But he said mean words to Drew Brees.

A little worried about the injury but he's probably the best WR in the class pre-injury so I wouldn't be mad.
