maybe Brady back to retirement. Or, traded to SF or wherever the latest rumor is now.

I think Brady is behind Bruce being moved to FO

Its not just the physical though. His tweet specifically referred to the mental aspect. Things like hot reads are learned in the class room. Its not refined route running technique. Its just knowing where to be and when. Our guys allegedly do not understand that aspect of the game.

I think if we want impact, we need to be looking at those few WRs with the most polish and experience in advanced NFL-like schemes. Someone with high football IQ who wont need much coaching on the intricacies of the offense.

There are also those who point out Smith struggled with the occasional physical DB getting off press. It should be noted that Jameson Williams was frequently in the slot, or bunch formations to allow for a clean release. Hes not adept at beating college press coverage, let alone in the NFL. Not sure you want 2 starting WRs trying to overcome that weakness.

That part of the game comes natural to some. For those who don't get it naturally, they struggle to ever really pick it up IMO.

I think it would be a mistake to sacrifice talent for a player who might be a little more NFL ready. If Jameson really is as bad a route runner as you suggest he could be, he wouldn't be worth the pick. I don't think he'll have that problem. And I wouldn't take that much out of Williams being moved into the slot on occasion. It's just an easier way to attack and take advantage of a defense sometimes.

Jameson is fast, twitched-up, quick, good feet, and I love the way he plucks the ball out of the air. He does that way better than your typical college speedster.

Been so much smoke about Brady not liking Bruce  , he retires , than meets owners in England , un retires the next day  , now this .

I havent suggested he is a bad route runner at all. I suggest he is an extremely inexperienced route runner who wasnt asked to run a very varied route tree but for a very limited time in a very short quick college career. And he wasnt just in the slot on occasion. He was always off the LOS. Whether it was slot or elsewhere. He just doesnt play the X position. I think thats a necessity to be considered as a WR1 in any draft. The best of the best can play X.

Tom Brady is the real coach there

Per Peter king

Arians isn’t leaving the organization, per Peter King, he’s now "senior consultant for football.”

"He said he’s relinquishing the Tampa job because "succession has always been huge for me. With the organization in probably the best shape it’s been in its history, with Tom Brady coming back  I’d rather see Todd in position to be successful and not have to take some [crappy] job. I’m probably retiring next year anyway, in February. So, I control the narrative right now. I don’t control it next February because [if] Brady gets hurt, we go 10-7, and it’s an open interview for the job  I got 31 [coaches and their] families that depend on me. My wife is big on not letting all those families down.”

Per the report, Bucs coaches learned of the change tonight.

There’s more to the report linked above, but wow is this a stunner. And it sure smells like Arians pulled a power play on the Bucs to slam Bowles into the head coaching gig.

So what does Tom Brady think of all this? As King’s report explains, many will speculate Brady wanted Arians out and got his way, but Arians addressed that and explained it is ridiculous and Arians’ call for many reasons.

That would be only a very minor concern for me with Jameson. Sometimes people over-think it. He checks just about every box.

Wow Bill Simmons called it. When Brady unretired and stayed with the Bucs Bill Simmons was predicting that Bruce Arians would not be their coach this season and there was issues between him and Brady.

If Smith is our X, you can say Williams is a fine fit as we only need a Z.

But, theres still some concern with the coaching staff's ability to develop him in to anything more than what Quez already is.

Setting aside the fact that our current QB wont be able to hit an elite deep thread with the ball (I dont buy that as a reason to avoid drafting one), there is no question Williams will be an elite deep threat right away. But can he be more? Thats far from the sure thing so many people are believing it to be. And his chances here are for certain less than they would be elsewhere.

Makes it better RTK hates foles. Skip wanted Foles going forward because he thought he was better than wentz and scared him too.

I don't worry about the coaching staff with that at all.

If this was a powerplay by Brady, wouldn't he want Leftwich as the HC? By all accounts those two are very close.

Maybe Arians' asking price to step down was that Todd be given the reigns over Byron.

Bowles has HC experience.  Don't want to roll the dice on a rookie HC.

Bowles just has to worry about the D , Brady will run O with leftwich , nothing changes other than Bruce and his abrasive behavior is gone .

Tampa should hire Urban Meyer

I feel like people need to get off the idea of trading down and getting a 2023 1st round pick. The chances of that happening for a mid-1st round player is pretty low.

Not if we throw in Reagor

Bayless is a brilliant troll; he makes $5M per year to spew takes no one is possibly dumb enough to believe

If he says he fears the Eagles because of Hurts, then only the RTK’s of the world would believe the Eagles are on the correct path at QB
