This has literally nothing to do with what I posted.  I think that Goedert is awesome.  I was pointing out that he is completely underutilized.  Of course, he was awesome during the Jets game without Squirts targeting him.

So that one game got him rated better than almost everyone in the league then.

And if he got a better QB he‘d be the best TE in the NFL by a huge margin?

Really that he got so far with such a terrible QB is HoF worthy of a feat I suppose? 😁

Remember when the blog was beating the drums on trading Goedert or letting him walk?

This time last year, I wanted Kyle Pitts and I had created a bunch of Goedert trade scenarios.  Even in to the season, I thought he would be a good trade deadline candidate based on the potential return in comparing him to Hayden Hurst's trade return to the Ravens.  I still think that for the money, he has been underutilized here.

TE2 is a need.

I really want one of the UGA tight ends in the coming years.

No.  However, it is frustrating that he is almost always wide open and consistently gets less than 5 targets a game bc Hurts is unable to process anything.

Goedert had a 73.7% catch rate and 14.8 yards per catch.  His YPC was 2nd only to Kyle Pitts for TE.  His catch rate and YPC were better than Kelce or Andrews.  YPC better than Kittle; Kittle was just over 75% catch rate.

Goedert should be getting 110+ targets per season.  76 last year was nowhere near good enough for the offense.

Your argument is so poor that you have to stretch yourself almost comically to even make sense in a formal way.

Then again I guess logic is not your forte.

How anyone could think a player could reach these numbers without the QB having anything to do with it is beyond me.

Still what you are saying is that Goedert has the potential to be the best TE in the NFL by a wide margin which is pretty cool.

You're literally arguing nothing.  Everything you have typed as an argument isn't even in response to one point that I've posted.  Read Alpha's post about the exact reasons why Goedert is the 2nd highest rated TE.  He understands the English language and rational thought.

I was being comical because I truly thought that you were also attempting to do so.  Turns out you're just braindead.

I think Colbert is pretty funny at times but I agree the general political correctness is a bit annoying. Then again I don‘t even know a conservative comedian. If anyone wants to point out one to me I‘d be grateful.

Tucker Carlson, his lawyers argued in court that he doesn't expect anyone to take his crap seriously. So he must be a comedy act.

I‘ll try to put it in easier words so even you can follow the argument.

You said he get‘s less than five targets consistently (not even true but who cares) because Hurts can‘t process anything. So if he is that good despite Hurts being so terrible (another piss poor argument) then that obviously means he would be way, way better if he had a top notch QB making him the top TE in the league.

Obviously even the biggest fan would pause there. Because actually Hurts very obviously had part in his success.

There you go. Need me to draw a picture for you? 😃

Those numbers really only mean Goedert is hyper-effective when he gets the ball.  The numbers in a vacuum don't say a lot about the caliber of QB play.

For targets last season the breakdown was:

Smith -- 104 targets, 61.5% catch rate

Goedert -- 76 targets, 73.7%

Watkins -- 62 targets, 69.4%

Reagor -- 57 targets, 57.9%

Gainwell -- 50 targets, 66.0%

Going into the season this was close to the distribution expected, other than Watkins passing Reagor on the depth chart.  The biggest question would be why DeVonta Smith, who was a Heisman Trophy winning WR, known for precise route running and excellent hands would only have a 61% catch rate.  Reagor has drastically underperformed and catches 58% of what's thrown to him.

It would be a worthwhile exercise to look back at all of Smith's targets from last season.  My perception is, it ain't the WR.  I'll leave it sitting there .....

My only complaint is that I wish that PFF would update their draft board so the mocks would be more accurate. Having Davis available at 15 99% of the time seems unrealistic to me at this point.

I only use @HazletonEagle's draft board.  I had to hack his PC to get it.

And we know why that is.   We have a running back playing QB.

Plenty of conservative comedians

Start with Norm McDonald was one, Dennis Miller, Tim Allen, Louis CK, Adam Carolla, Jeff Dunham off the top of my head

There are probably more who are just not open about it, but these guys are or were open about it.

Maybe. I just know recently he's been doing right wing events

Andrew Schultz is and up and coming guy that does a lot of crowd work.

Russel Peters is pretty good.  Tom Segura and Bert Kreischer have pretty content really enjoy them too.

I just love great comedy.  Take shots at both sides, lord knows they all deserve it.  Bill Burr does a good job at that.

I'd still say its Brittle Kittle

Once he secures it, he is usually pretty good at running with it.

Look, if the point was Smith underperformed and that’s on Hurts fine.

I get that. But to say Goedert has been excellent and then tag on a ‘Hurts sucks’ just doesn’t make much sense.

If we talk big picture here Hurts needs to improve though. I agree to that at least.

Out of those I only know Dunham and Louis and I don’t find them funny. But hey that’s obviously as subjective as it gets.

I like comedy so chances are I’ll give those others listed a shot too. Thanks.

Colbert is funny. Some of Noah’s stuff is too.  You would have hated Mort Stahl, Lenny Bruce or even George Carlin.
