Bryant always does.  And he's friends with Harper.  I was surprised the Phillies didn't pull the trigger on him... but... they always seem like they are only so willing to spend.  They spend when it doesn't make a ton of sense, but then don't when it seems obvious that the extra cost is worth it.  

Amaro explains why the catcher shouldn't go down to a knee... and just as soon, he gives up another wild pitch and a run.  He's struggled to block at least 3 balls in this at -bat and gave up a run because of it.  Bad defense from a guy that's supposed to be pretty good defensively.  Just not helping his pitcher.

I thought for sure harper was going to get Bryant to come here. Had been rumors for about 2 years. According to heyman it was down to the Phillies and Rockies. The Phillies decided to go schwarber and castellanos. Frankly I’m tired of our bad farm system and development. It’s a reason we have to overspend to the extreme in free agency. It’s a reason why our rotation and bullpen isn’t better. We keep trying older retreads in the pen and our young guys besides Dominguez haven’t really proven to be good. 
 

frankly hoskins arbitration runs out after next year. He’s going to be 30 and want a nice contract. I’d pull the trigger on a deal if we got decent pitching back. Move bohm to first. Then next year try to find a 3rd baseman in FA.

Morey deserves criticism for the harden trade. However i don’t think it was just morey on that decision. Owner Michael Rubin is really good friends with harden prior to the trade. I’m guessing he was strongly pushing for it when he was available both times. 

harden trade might go down as a bad deal. However the sixers blowing the last time they had cap space on al horford and all they have to show for that is Danny green and a loss of a first rounder. They could have a much Better bench and a better starter than green/thybulle if they spent the money better.

I don't even follow the NBA as much as I used to, but the more I watch people bish and whine about Embiid the more I love the guy.  Sorry you can't stop the guy without fouling him 🤷‍♂️

Without a doubt.  If his great 3 point shooting this year doesn't turn out to be a one year fluke then the sky is the limit for him.

Unless the Phillies are in a more promising spot by then, that seems to make the most sense with Hoskins.  A team that has 3 corner outfielders that need to be in the lineup and a bloated contract on a catcher whose bat needs to be preserved simply does not have room for both Bohm and Hoskins.  Only so many players can be stashed in the lineup as DH's.

Saving money by moving Bohm to first, unloading Hoskins for prospects we'll ruin, and then using the money saved for a more definitive and different puzzle piece in FA sounds like the right approach.

Lol who's whining only about Embiid. Players complain regardless but 6ers aint getting to the finals so it is what it is.
