Good argument, and actually a reality for Boston Scott. 5’ 6” and 203. Kid has good balance.  I think the rotating Gs hurt the Eagles at inside running the last couple of years. Impacted Sanders and Scott.

Do you really think their guards hurt them last year?  Their entire line was an immovable force and completely dominant in the run game especially when Dickerson got up to speed.  Herbig's deficiencies were barely noticeable with Lane and Kelce each playing at elite levels.

The year before with 15 or 16 different formations?  Yes, that was hard to watch.  Wentz didn't make it any better, but they were not the same last season.

Fair enough. Admittedly, I scanned most of those posts so maybe I rushed to criticize.

But generally, the 2021 draft is highly encouraging. Good starters at WR and iOL. Probable long-term starter at DT. Upside with Gainwell, maybe McPhearson.

I think it was a good draft. How good has different directions it can go depending on a variety of factors. My only point about Smith was IMO to be a great pick, he has to be a great player. Being just good and going #10 overall is a little underwhelming. And I prefaced all that by saying he was held back.

Clinton, Bush and a Fast-Flying Shoe: Who Dodged It Best? - ABC News

I was very happy that the President dodged the shoe. It's supposed to be an insult. I'd hate to see the weasle throwing the shoe land one.

RTK is a childish fraud.  He put me on ignore on the old board over Ruben Randle because of a simple "2nd best" joke that everyone ran with.

He was banned from the old board for slamming Nick Foles repeatedly after he won us a Super Bowl.

He puffed his chest up all week how Hurts was gonna make us all eat our words in the playoffs, and the fraud put me on ignore during the game because he did not want to back up his talk.

so what? Maybe he has some limitation as a person. Maybe he is 12 and doesn't know much. He could still be just like a person in your real life who you would defend because you care about them even with their limitations. If he was your kid, don't know if you are old enough to have raised kids but if you are, you know that they are often idiots, you would pick up a baseball bat and swing it at people who act toward him as some on this board feel entitled to do. I am not defending RTK. Nothing you wrote is wrong. It's laughably inane. Does that give anyone the right to demean him? Just ignore or disagree. Personalizing it to the degree that goes on here is cruel.

WR was a need.  OL was a need.  DT/DE was a need.

Howie had a good draft... but he did go with some significant needs... but actually found some players at those positions this time.

I think if you looked at most teams’ drafts you could find ways to argue that a majority of picks were at positions of need.

I don’t think OL/DT was at the same level as WR or S or corner, but Howie didn’t force it by taking players just because there was a greater need. Smith looks like a player at the end of a tier (with Horn/Surtain gone).

I don't disagree.  But, I had WR as the top need and I saw OL as the next need, which is why I was high on Creed Humphrey for that pick they chose Dickerson.

Just to reiterate @RLC’s point from earlier. His high YPC was due to YAC, not Jimmy G throwing downfield.

I don’t know if you’ve noticed, but we’ve all got limitations in here pal. RTK is presumably an adult. Say stupid stuff, get called out for it. People generally stick to facts and opinions, but when he starts race baiting then he opens himself up to the repercussions. You and others can choose to ignore him and move on, but others have the same right to lay into him as they see fit.

Afan gets a ton of crap in here too, but he at least sticks to non personal attacks. If he started race baiting he’d face the same backlash, as would any poster.

Woah not so fast. I consider myself a dark horse in this competition. Pun intended.

You're a racist that steals underwear.  I can't think of a more offensive racist!

And it still stands that Jimmy G pushes the ball down the field better than Hurts, which is why Deebo would not work in Philly.

You are inferring that it is about being sorry for him. It's not. It's about simple civility and how we actually interact in person vs. in this space. How entitled to judging others does someone have to be to say that another person "brings everything on himself?" Just ignore the kid. Over the years it is pretty obvious that he has real issues. You have people in your family with teh same types of issues who you would defend in a second if they were treated how he gets treated. Why is it necessary to continually personalize it and try and continually work to humiliate him? Is it going to make the board better by driving him off it? My opinion is that the board would be better if you, 4for4, Texas, and other people who feel entitled to address people in a manner that would never be tolerated in person, grew up a bit and didn't use the space to prove how "right" you are all the time. Just an opinion.

I have him on ignore so I missed all this but still, I salute your attempt, futile as it may prove, to inject civility into our conversations.

Unlike DK or AJ Brown, I think Deebo works in just about any offense for any team. You need a good QB to get DK the ball and have him make an impact, you don't for Deebo. That's what makes him special. Just get him the ball (screen, hand-off, short pass) and let him do his thing. I'm not saying I'm all in or anything, but I wouldn't be so concerned about trading for him because we don't have a good quarterback.

I'm sure this was already posted but if not, how does this change what you would give up for and pay him?

Watch the first 4 passes of this video, all 10+ yards and most into the middle of the field.  In fact, the majority of these throws +10 yards.  The 4th throw at the 1 minute mark against the Eagles, Hurts can not and will not make that throw.

Deebo could be a really interesting fit here with Hurts actually. Our passing game success has to come off play action. Running Deebo on in-cuts and crossers off PA fits right in.  Hurts can make those easy throws, and Deebo can make an ordinary 15 yard gain on that kind of play a 40 yard gain.

Did you watch the first 4 throws, three of them Hurts would not even attempt, and the 4th one, not a chance he makes it.
