It’s unfortunately starting to look like a lot of the top defensive prospects are gonna go higher than expected earlier. Seems like 8-10 of the top 12 are gonna be on the defensive side.

I don't think it was a law firm they worked at together but in the same office where the "prosecutor" works.  It's also not a 100% clear that the "judge" is not employed by the University but in a different capacity.  I don't know what the ethic rules are in @Desertbirds' state but conflicts go to work on a same or substantially similar matter by the judge not a personal relationship with opposing counsel.  It's possible he had a duty to disclose the relationship but it's hard to know without knowing the specific rules of the process.  

The reality is that attorneys have relationships with other attorneys and judges.  It doesn't mean that it impacts impartiality.  I would be a little concerned in this case because the process doesn't seem entirely transparent.

Im not even a big Wilson guy. I was torn there between he or Olave. I know they reportedly like Olave, but I gave the edge to Wilson because he grew up an eagles fan and recently said he wants to play here.

 One of those first round picks is going to be CB.  The focus of us on the outside seems to be on dline or WR but it's going to be a CB.  Nelson is off the market as the cheap replacement and they have no one else right now to start opposite of Slay.  For a defense that allowed 80%+ completion  to every top 15 QB they faced.  

Currently the largest need on the team. For both the short term and the long term.

Ideally, we move up from 15 to 10-13 and move down from 18 to 25-30, with the compensations cancelling out.

I think this is where teams may have a different view than the internet draft experts on a player.  I could definitely see Elam going higher than expected just based on the position and his testing.  I would be fine with him at 18 or even 15 if that's where they thought he was valued.  I think he's likely to be an above average starter which is good value in that range.
