If they want Dean, it will have to be a trade up.

Draft picks are slim pickings now.

Honestly getting Brown made the draft for me. All good.

Everyone buy this or no?

A couple reporters said the Eagles tried to go up and get Williams. But then they wouldn't have gotten Davis and also this extension couldn't have come together that fast so they were clearly talking going into this.

Howie have a medical card?  His answer to the last question, 'is the team better after tonight?' was absolutely hilarious.

Howie hinted at replacing some picks he spent tonight ever so subtly. I think Dillard is 100% getting traded tomorrow.

I'm trying not to get too optimistic, but can you honestly name an NFC team that has improved more this off-season than the Eagles?

Brisker is my top realistic choice for our next pick. You might as well wait on corner until '23 in the first round. Sign a vet in FA to start opposite Slay this year. If Gordon or maybe McCreary are on the board, fine, otherwise safety would be the best pick if the board falls right. Edge would be nice, but they're gonna go quick tomorrow. The corners, too, probably. Jalyn Armour-Davis could be a steal in the 3rd though.

Not really worried about trading back to pick up a couple extra late round picks. It is what is is. 2, 3, 5, 7 is still decent.

AJ Brown. Sheesh. He's not a top 5 WR, but top 10-15 is about right. Strong hands and makes big plays. Still young too. The contract isn't too bad either.

Still very young and should only get better.  Eagles have a talented young core on offense.

Jalen Hurts will be 24 to start the season

DeVonta Smith will be 23 to start the season

AJ Brown will be 25 to start the season

Goedert will be 27 to start the season

Mailata will be 25 to start the season

Dickerson will be 23 to start the season

Then you have a bunch of other young guys who could end up sticking around for awhile (Quez, Miles, Gainwell, Ward).

You know where those picks are going

Three consecutive 1st rounders spent on SEC players. I can dig it.

This is the correct take. But I’m iffy on the contract. In theory it’s good compared to Kirk and probably what Jefferson, Chase, Metcalf and Samuel will get. But it puts all the pressure on Hurts. If he only puts up 800ish yards, it’s an overpay

Any other good CBs available besides Booth?

Round 2, Tariq Woolen, McCreary ( though I am not a fan )

Round 3, Marcus Jones, Jalyn Armour Davis

Later, Alontae Taylor, Damarri Mathis, Coby Bryant, Akayleb Evans, Jaylen Watson

Pretty wild first round.  I got stuck watching the ESPN feed, which is just grossly inferior to the NFLN broadcast.  Had to sit there listening to them interviewing Ice Cube about nothing while waiting for the Eagles pick to be announced.  They don’t discuss the trades at all (only later mentioned the AJ Brown trade after I was sitting there wondering why the Titans still had the #26 pick after the Eagles traded out of #18 with them).  Just an awful broadcast.

The Davis pick and the trade up to #13 was almost inevitable, much like the Smith trade last year.  @Outlaw and I discussed jumping the Ravens for Davis 7-10 days ago.

The AJ Brown trade was a big surprise.  I didn’t want Howie forcing the board to trade up for a WR, but getting an established WR1 like Brown for #18 and 101 is a good trade IMO. The money is a lot, but the way the WR salaries are going, $25M per season will probably look like a bargain in a year from now.

The Giants got two really good players in Thibodeaux and Neal, but picking #5 and 7 you should get two really good players.  WAS reached a bit for Dotson IMO.

DAL made a horrible botch leaving Jermaine Johnson on the board to take a Day 2 OL.  I was cursing that JJ fell right to them, then a sigh of relief when they didn’t take him.

And then Devonta is losing targets and yardage.  I think this year after 6-8 weeks, they will not make a shift to the running game if Hurts cant get these guys the ball, they will make the shift to Minshew.

Screw Hurts. Because of that RB playing QB it's hard to get excited about next year.

100%.

For a team to trade their star player with no notice and the team hes traded to already has a deal in place, that takes multiple days. Hurts and AJ were training together on the 25th randomly, they already knew.

Really happy right now that Calvin Ridley has a gambling problem.

That will be the look on Devonta's face when he has 600 yards this year.

The broadcast really is terrible. Keep it simple. They try way too hard to make the event in person a good experience and it makes the at-home experience terrible. They're picks behind on day 1, so they'll be a mess tomorrow and Saturday.
