For all of you talking about sister and mama Hutchinson...I'd even consider grandma as a 2am last call.

Great genes in that bloodline.

Unlikely? Yes. Impossible? No.

While I like the Dean selection, he has not chance to be DROY.

A) He has to play and stay healthy... I could see this happening, as TJ isn't a world beater.

B) Gannon is going to need to change his approach and let the Dean blitz.  I don't think being decent in coverage and running down RBs on outside runs makes the splash for DROY.

The improvement of the Eagles defense for 2022 will depend how it performs vs DAL (2x), ARI, GB, and TEN.  Those are the only 5 games on the Eagles schedule against playoff teams from 2021.  Their other games are:

WAS (2x), NYG (2x), PIT, IND, HOU, JAX, NO, MIN, DET, CHI.  Out of that list, the Vikings will be a test for the defense.  Indy somewhat ....

It's not a very hard schedule as it stands right now.  The expectation right now from Howie and Nick should be an 11-6 record.

I’d add the saints would be another team in the other games. Last year we faced them down 2 starting tackles, down kamara, down michael Thomas and with siemian starting. If they are healthy they have Winston, Thomas back. Kamara depending on when he’s suspended. And added olave. The only downgrade they made on offense is Armstead to penning. And penning we don’t have a clue what he is as he’s a rookie but could be good as there’s a reason he went top 20.

The lowest common denominator on the EMB are the posters who over shoot their expectations for any player the Eagles get.  All of the sudden….Player X is the greatest.

So when we trade for Clark from Baltimore, you're saying he's not the next Brian Dawkins? Buzzkill bro

This will sound whacky but I am sincere: If I had had the #1 pick in this draft, I would have chosen Davis.

First one in gets the avatar bet.

Not only will Nakobe Dean not win DROY, he will not get a vote.

Last year Parsons won in a sweep, the previous years, no more than 4 players got a vote.

Loser gets the Avatar of my choice for a month, winner gets to choose my avatar for a month.

I’m trying my hardest to get excited. I guess I focused too much on some misconceptions about his playing time and ability to maintain his stamina per recent reports refuting those concerns. Also would like to see him improve as a pass rusher.

So anyway, if Eagles could somehow swoop in last minute and pick up Matthieu, they are pretty much locks to make the SB and probably be favorites

Not even a small tradeback?  You got me beat.

Saints will be interesting this year. Michael Thomas is no sure thing to return to his prior playing ability. It feels like he hasn't played in like 5 years. And, the last time he did play, was with Brees I think?

Losing Payton is a massive blow I think. Winston will be interesting to see how he recovered from his injury. I would say the biggest thing in ACL's is having your confidence back...from what little I know of Winston, I think he's too dumb to know any different so that shouldn't be an issue. But you never know.

And then Kamara. Will he be suspended even? And, when will that get handed down? And for how many games?

Olave seems like a good pick, but we'll see. Especially if old Ginger Dalton has to take meaningful snaps. I think they got worse on defense this offseason too.

Just, a lot of question marks with them. It'll be fun cheering for them to lose as much as possible this year, considering how much they've had our number in the last decade or so.

Are you talking form a general perspective or eagles viewed perspective? Because if I was Jacksonville Or someone like Carolina I’m taking a tackle badly. Frankly i think Jacksonville is going to regret not taking a tackle.

Love the Davis pick but that's intense.

Why tf not

Ross has some serious red flags in the medical arena.  One wrong hit could probably kill this guy.

I agree but he could make enough TFLs combined with a few INTs that it's sufficient.  I don't think I would put money on it.  You have high profile defensive rookies in NY markets that are likely to  be frontrunners even if they don't have record breaking production.  My guess is Thibodeaux will be a run away candidate if he gets to double digit sacks.

Yeah but there is zero risk to the Chiefs. Gave him pennies and no draft capital spent.

Did you notice that all of the QB's not named Pickett were drafted significantly lower than their draft projections.

If Sam Howell, the consensus #1 going into the season gets drafted in the 5th, it stands to reason that a guy with a 3rd / 4th round grade with medical concerns  would not be drafted.

Willis was consistently talked about 1st round, and top 10, went 86th.

GM's talk, scouts talk, the information pre draft is not near as secret as you think.  The league as a whole had a pretty good idea besides Pickett, the QB's were going to slide down the board.

I think you could say that about any player. I don't know much about Ross, but if I was an UDFA WR, I'd probably try and sign up to play with Mahomes.

Eagles perspective, definitely. He will transform the defense, just as Vea did for the Bucs.

@FranklinFldEBUpper

What do you think we end up doing at punter? Do we run Siposs out there again?

Darius Leonard has 7 sacks, 4FF and 2 INTs and presumably was a decent LB otherwise... that's pretty pretty good.

I think the weight thing bothers me the most.
