If Sean Payton goes to Dallas, my hatred for The Dallas Cowboys would reach a level I didn’t even think I had in me.

Is there a coach that is more Cowboys than Sean Payton? I can't think of anyone more appropriate for that job.

Hoping that Rodgers, Wilson and Watson all want to come here is nice and also hoping that it will yield what you want is nice.  And when that brilliant idea fails....you're right back to where you were.  Just with less ammunition to reload with and more years gone by.  You might want to use both hands for that QB plan.

So if they don't come here then (just like I said already) you use your picks whatever way you want. No franchise qb since McNabb , yes, your plan is fool proof.

It's hardly falling off a cliff, but Brady put up some pretty hollow stats in the playoffs this year.  I don't think he played particularly well.

Granted, it feels like every QB in the playoffs sucks with 2 notable exceptions after watching Sunday night's game.

Burrow had a good game against the Titans despite getting sacked 9 times.  He also played well against the Raiders.  Stafford played great on Sunday and the week before against AZ.

If I were a player or high enough in the FO to be considered a source, I would intentionally leak terrible information just to see what the most absurd story I could get to break as a report.

Would be fascinating to see what the Bucs would do if Brady requested to move on. Historic trade package for Wilson or Rodgers? Blow it all up?

Their coach already said if Brady retires it’s Trask or door number 2 , like they did when they signed Brady , now what’s behind door number 2 this year , who knows , maybe a trade

I’m sure Brady wants to leave Sunny Tampa for the human crap infested streets of San Francisco.

Caldwell is a good safe hire. He'll get the most out of Fields and will return the team back to respectability.

Makes sense. More support for my prediction that the Bears are beast's...ahem @Original Sin's new team when Tom retires.

First off I’m not a fan of Fields or Caldwell , so I’m not sure what the hell you’re talking about , obviously nor do you .

I'm not trying to defend Reagor here.  But I just find it interesting that he's universally public enemy number one who should have been cut yesterday, while Hurts has a large support base as the starting QB deserving of developmental patience.

This isn't complicated. Hurts has had good games. Reagor hasn't.

It's interesting that San Francisco tops the list of cities that NFL athletes do not want to play in.  Definitive, dead last.  Buffalo and GB up next due to the small towns and weather.

Everyone here will hate this, but Dallas is at the top of the list of where players want to be.  No state income tax...and players like playing for Jerry Jones.

I actually like comparing Hurts to Reagor.

Both are not good.  Both have absolutely no idea how to play their position.  They went through college without figuring it out and went through 2 different professional coaching regimes without figuring it out.

Interestingly, that's where the similarities end.  Despite the the failures, Reagor actually has conventional, projectable, and desirable talent for the position.  Hurts does not.  Hurts went through the best coach in NCAA history and the best offensive coach in the NCAA without learning to play the position, while Reagor was only assigned go routes and screens in a very rudimentary offense constrained by a crap QB.  (Ironic that the Eagles justified Reagor in round 1 because we couldn't see how great he'd be because he was constrained by a rudimentary college offense with a crap QB).

I'm not trying to defend Reagor here.  But I just find it interesting that he's universally public enemy number one who should have been cut yesterday, while Hurts has a large support base as the starting QB deserving of developmental patience.

If we need to be patient, shouldn't that be extended to the more talented player who has definitely had less quality coaching during his developmental years in college?

I'd cut both yesterday....if it was socially acceptable

Yeah, wealthy people don't have any tolerance for one of the wealthiest cities in the world compared to a second rate city in Florida.

Celebrity level NFL players don't care...but the rest of them would take any of the Florida teams, including Jacksonville, 10 times out of 10 over SF.

Wasn't  Payton a Parcells disciple?

At this point in his career, why would he want to regularly be standing behind Jones at the podium.

I think there's far more that goes into it vs. just whether there are state taxes.  I mean why would Ramsey want out of Jax to go to LA if his sole consideration was state income tax.  I don't think for most players it's a primary consideration.  I am not saying it doesn't make a difference. I just don't think those teams are that impacted in getting quality FAs.

What are you talking about?

Brady's seasons are always measured by a Super Bowl title. He's set such an insane expectation. With the bar set that high for him, there is no extra pressure that he could experience. A farewell season would be like a retirement party; you get to see a lot of long time co-workers who you'll never see again, eat a bunch of food and drink too much. You get a nice gold watch and everybody is in a great mood as you ride off into the sunset.

Him not winning the Super Bowl in any given season is a failure; his last would be no different.

No kidding.  That’s what I said.  His goal is a Super Bowl win every year.  Adding some sort of "farewell season” would just be a distraction.   That’s probably why he doesn’t want one.

Well there's a reason why a lot of athletes reside in Florida.  Taxes!  So yeah, Tampa makes more sense than SF in that respects.  But SF is a great place.

I think SF is a toilet, but to each their own.  Lots of natural beauty in the area though.  Good food.  Good place to be a billionaire or to be homeless.  Pretty much anyone in between would have a better life elsewhere.

DJ Chark. Injury proned WR with potential and ties to our FO. Sounds like he fits our MO.

Yes he's had a couple soft tissue injuries, but he's 6'4", fast, 25 y.o., and isn't just a deep threat.

Have you ever been to San Fran?  Don't answer that....I can tell you haven't.  F-ing great town!!  The whole region (minus parts of Oakland) is awesome.

Just was there last year. Got to watch a man defecate into a flower pot outside of a restaurant. Beautiful town.

I heard it used to be great, but not so much anymore.

Other than the weather, not sure why anyone would want to live in California.

Insane costs of living. High taxes. Earthquakes. Blackouts. Wildfires. Strictest COVID policies in the country. Rising crime. Very high carjackings and thefts. Homeless encampments rampant. Used needs strewn about the streets. Droughts. Water rationing.

And San Fran doesn't even have the weather advantage other California cities have.

Ok, back to the Cardinals then? I mean it's been a while since you hopped off one wagon to hop onto another. Figured you're due.
