February 4, 20223 yr With Willis rising can we have 2 or 3 QB's gone before our pick? Keep getting better defensive players to drop to us please

Let all these other teams reach for these stupid QBs and let the elite defensive talent fall to the Eagles in the draft.

Or... he's smokescreening something else. But, yeah, I think we have to HOPE that that's the case. That said, I have zero interest in Willis in the first round. So, going with Willis in Round 1 would indicate that he's still not learned much recently.

Yes, Howie is responsible/accountable for all picks, but I think Andy Weidl and Doug were driving the bus on that pick and they convinced Howie. Also if we're to believe the rationale for the pick as it was put forward at the draft, then Hurts wasn't drafted under the premise he'd be the starting QB long term. If neither Nick or Howie are "Hurts guys" then Hurts' grasp on the starting QB position is tenuous at best. Well, that's just great. No one really wanted him. But, here we are... with no realistic option to move on from him currently.

Really, JR, you're old enough to know not to take these kinds of things seriously. Yes, a number of players they've interviewed at the Senior Bowl have been drafted, but the majority of players they interviewed weren't drafted. Sometimes b/c they weren't available, sometimes b/c they weren't interested. I think Howie is going to talk to and invite anyone credible who might be available in the range of their 1st rd picks, both to gather information on those players, but also to incentivize teams that might be thinking about trading up to ether trade with the Eagles, or just as good, trade up to take a player he doesn't want, pushing a player he does want further down. This time of year there's more misinformation generated by NFL teams than by a Russian troll farm during a US election.

One of my favorite conversations of the last 2 weeks was on the Rich Eisen podcast, where Rich finally pieced together how robust the QB market will be this offseason. When he was naming the teams that will be in the QB market, one of his producers threw in "Eagles" Rich said "But, Jalen Hurts had a really good year" His producer "Did he??" Eisen "He really did". The way Eisen said this line was hilarious, like he was pleading for the guy to agree with him. The producer instantly threw the 61.3% completion number at him.

Keep telling yourself that, there is nothing about what they have done, said, interviewed that tells you that they are not looking for an upgrade. Read my signature, read it again, they are not going to be happy with the current QB situation, and they have the ammo to do something about it.

If hurts I think yeah sure he can improve those things mentioned and I still don't think it's going to make a significant improvement on his arm strength. I don't think hurts has the arm strength to threaten all levels of the field which limits ones passing scheme. Hurts. Sorry Although Foles also had bad mechanics coming out of college. His windup was ridiculously long. I mean Randy Johnson long. But he worked on it and fixed it but occasionally would slide back to that and his long step throwing. I agree that I don’t think Hurts can throw across his body across the field but most QBs can’t. Like I said, there are deficiencies in his game that are worse than his arm strength and less fixable.
