McDermott's defense was much better than Gannon's. Bowles' defense was actually Juan Castillo's and was pretty comparable to Gannon's.

Bowles was incredibly bad. Worse the Juan and much worse than Gannon.

McDermott’s defense was garbage.  Pathetic considering he learned directly from JJ.  It left me assuming he slept through most of the hard work.

Evander Kane has a bodyguard driving him around.  My brother had the unpleasant experience of meeting him and his brother on a golf course.  They were both knobs, and his bodyguard kept the situation from escalating.

His act has worn thin at every NHL stop he’s had.  Unbelievably after breaking COVID protocols that had him under formal investigation by the league, he’s surfaced with another team again.  Some of these guys never smarten up.

And we saw how last year's group struggled as rookies.

Don't waste a 1st rd pick on someone's backup QB three years from now.

We wasted a 2nd round pick on a guy who won't be in the NFL 3 years from now.

Jones was a great pick and great prospect, who's only flaws were 1 year of starting (at a near elite level in college) and an average arm.

McDermott, Castillo and Bowles were all placed in impossible situations...it's not fair to objectively call any of them a failure.
