Yup I can't imagine anyone giving up a 2nd for jimmy G.

I ask ask my wife for stuff all the time yet here I am on this board talking to a bunch of dudes about football...🤷‍♂️

If you are willing to make a friendly avatar wager I’m down on a Jimmy G for a 2nd rounder (assuming no players involved and it’s strictly picks). Also not sure how you’d want to do conditional pick. I could see it being a 3rd with conditions where it becomes a second (so could wait to see until conditions are met the following season)

You can’t take the Super Bowl season away from Wentz

Thing is that draft choices being targeted at a specific position is very risky.  Better to let the board develop.

Agreed 100% on this.  But none of these guys offers anything to the team that they couldnt pick up off the street after the draft, again with the exception of Herbig. Herbig has chemistry with this line and that matters as much, if not more, than raw talent alone.  So, as of right now, I sign him to a 3 year backup OG number with start escalators.

I forgot about Seumalo, but like Driscoll, durability is becoming an issue, making Herbig a bigger piece.  The others you mentioned I see as deep depth and not guys I would want starting mulitple games except in an absolute emergency situation.  Herbig is a guy that can be the first guy off the bench at the 3 interoir positions, and has been.  Thats valuable.  Seumalo hasnt been that guy recently, but will likely need to be either the starting RG or that guy.  Same for Driscoll.

As for the draft, if Green is there, you grab him and look to trade Seumalo at some point.

The rest of the positions... if they dont get what they want in the draft, I fully expect a player of similar skill to any of the others to be sitting there as a free agent.

If I figure that out, sure I'm game, though if I did I'm sure @Iggles_Phan. Would call me out for gambling when I said I didn't😉

In 10-15 years time, ESPN will do a 30 on 30 on Wentz's career.  He had it all and it kind of just frittered away into nothingness.  Forcing himself away from 1 franchise and then potentially being dumped by another only 12 months or so later is quite an achievement; considering what some players have done in the past 40 years and all.  In some respects, I feel sorry for him, but he is the architect of his own downfall.

However, I am glad the drama is gone and there is a 1st round pick coming our way.

You really think he’s being serious?  If you have ever seen him interviewed, he’s nothing like Cam and nothing like the costumes would suggest   I assumed it was satirical.   Plus, Cam was a **** and crappy QB

The obsession in the 'media' now of getting video of the players, specifically the QBs, arriving to the stadium is the issue.  I think Burrow is just having some fun with it.

I’d also point out, Sam Bradford’s best season as a pro is similar to Carson wentz’s season he had this year statistically except for comp percentage.

His stats at first glance for the season are pretty good, but taken into context the dude just choked towards the end of the season when it mattered most.

Not sure what happened to Wentz but it happened and I can't see him making any kind of comeback.

Though I'm sure there are still a few coaches out there that may disagree and think they are the person to be able to untap Wentz.

That's on you.  You do whatever you wish.  But, in the post you are referring to, you literally sad you and your wife don't gamble, then went on to say that your wife did gamble with a $10 limit.  It was sort of bizarre how you contradicted yourself so blatantly in the same post.

Can ownership vote other owners out or force them to sell?

Jalen Hurts is a swag JAG. Relying on him will be a wasted season.

I always wondered if seeing Foles lift the Super Bowl trophy and the adulation he got in Philly did something to him psychologically.  It stung him that it wasn't him.

This made me laugh....

Jeff George story, first? More interesting character, plus Irsay in his ‘prime’. Do we even have a sound bite from Carson… I guess when his GF started dressing him that was a bad look. Wentz is neither good/bad/ugly enough to be interesting 15 years from now.

I had a physical therapist who once a year would go to Vegas he'd take I think he said about $700 and he'd play the tables and slots whatever til it was gone, then he'd go home, sometimes it would last him a few hours sometimes a few days or a week or so but he'd always play til it was gone, if ones goal is to lose or spend 700$ playing cards while getting complimentary drinks it's not really gambling it's entertainment and day drinking.

Same with my wife, she takes ten bucks, if she loses it she doesn't come back with krispy Kremes which is sad for me☹️ if she doubles it she stops, sometimes she'll stop before she doubles it just because she gets board, she only ever plays video poker, because she thinks it's fun, has nothing to do with winning or losing it's just a form of entertainment for her to waste an hour or so sometimes less.

As for me I gambled once, I lost two bucks on nickel slots in like 5 minutes and was pissed and that was enough for me.

None of this helps me figure out how to change my avatar though 😁

I hate the super bowl halftime show, just get a drum line or a dog riding a bike or something, it's not like the super bowl needs to get a big Rock/pop/rap star to draw a crowd, they could get the wiggles or tellatubbies and people would still pay to watch.

The ability of the nfl to do even more with Amazon having bezos owning the team. i also think they are just tired of Snyder’s continuous crap

I'm not sure what the Colts are thinking here.

Look at the Eagles as a contrast.  Jalen Hurts is horrific.  They are going to great lengths to prop up Hurts as their starter, just to avoid tipping their hand and keeping their options open.

The Colts won't defend Wentz, won't commit to him...they don't have to like him or want him as their QB, but why not go through the motions until FA/trades and the draft play out?  And if you don't get the guy you want in that process, Wentz is still better than the true scrapheap options...so you might as well maintain the ability to say you wanted him all along.

100% agree.  They are not doing themselves any favors.

It might be good for Wentz to get cut and not claimed.  Then he can sign a one year prove it deal…might finally force him to change his game for the better.  Still has a ton of talent…needs to get right in the head.

This dude needs some new lawyers.
