We'll get him in FA, but he's been kind of a bust

Seen DJ's mock had Nakobe Dean going to Dallas.  How many LBs do they need?

All of them.

I think Parsons moves to DE full time.

On Sunday it was Miller but he was also going up against the Bengals biggest weakness (O-line).  Ramsey had to defend their biggest strength (WRs).  So I'd expect Miller to have a bigger impact in this game.

You just essentially made my case for me

That was the cost for Stafford last season.  Wilson is younger by 9 months and has been the better QB.

You also have to factor in that one of the 1sts was likely to get Detroit to take Goff and his contract. We wouldn't have that issue.

I wouldn’t have a problem with two firsts for Wilson. In essence it would be Wentz and a 1st, for Wilson and a third. Sounds fine by me.

Forgetting we don’t have to give up any picks if we trade him for mailata and hurts

Dillard, Hurts, Jjaw and Reagor....

The picks are better than what LAR gave up.  Detroit got 2022 and 2023 firsts.  Those were a next-year and a next-next-year pick.  Our two firsts would be a this-year and a this-year.  Much more valuable.

What would have to be offset is the value of Goff.  I'd argue that the better picks plus Hurts would do that.

why not a 1st this year and a 1st next year?

Rams 4 best players… in no particular order

DT

WR

QB

Edge rusher

Those of you saying we need to go safety, LB, or G early I think are missing the mark.

My bad...I thought you meant just the Rams 4 best players in general, not just this past Sunday.

If you had to trade Jordan Mailata, what would the price be?

If you had to trade Russell Wilson, what would the price be?

Obviously the Eagles don't want to trade Mailata, but if he refused to play for them, what would their asking price be?

I am curious to hear what you think it is.

That's a fair point.  I don't know if the cost of taking on his salary was a first but I'm sure it was a factor.

The time stamp is all around 6:45 so I think they (the tweeters) are talking about the correct 4th and 1 (the first drive) but everyone is thinking they are talking about the other 4th and 1 (the end of the game).

That seems very likely.

It is financially impossible to trade Mailata.

Nah... cap neutral.

We're not making all 3 of the first round picks this year.  Bank on that.

I'd be ok with using one 1st this year , trading one back for additional pick this year and a first next year,

and trading the 3rd st and our 1st next year for Wilson.

That would be preferred.

But we have three this year.  Wilson is better than Stafford and Goff is better than Hurts.

Just get the guy here.

Just add salt and trade him to Switzerland.

I don’t have to trade him. That’s the beauty of all this. And i wouldn’t trade him in a Russell Wilson deal due to financial ramifications against the cap/dead money (which make even more headaches and have to make a bunch of other moves after just to get cap compliant) and I’m not making that deal with him in there

Frankly i think Seattle would ask for at least 3 firsts, probably hurts and another player. Whether or not Seattle gets that is a different story. But I’m betting they start off that high in wanting to deal him

If he refused to play and sat out then the Eagles are at a slight disadvantage. your hypothetical hurts the Eagles leverage in a trade as other teams knowingly see him refusing to play and forced to trade him. Also your hypothetical doesn’t account for variables like how many teams are interested in him, what those teams rosters look like terms of potential player acquisitions to complete a trade and also his reasoning for wanting out (is it contract, poor handling of an injury that could be a long term issue, unhappy with FO, being benched or what is it).

I'd like to see Wilson's updated list.  Last season it was DAL, CHI, NO, and LV.  Turds gave Dak a mega deal, Bears spent two 1sts to draft Fields, and Saints will be in a full-on rebuild via contract shedding.  Raiders might be the only remaining possibility in a Wilson-for-Carr swap (with picks added in).

I mean he's about the same build as Von Miller.  I can see where they change the defense to put him in a 3-4 OLB role.
