I can definitely be convinced of a Trayvon Walker/Jermaine Johnson double-dip.

Me too.

"He has a level of fight in him that you should love. And the dude is extremely talented on the field. He’s not all of a sudden at the best he is ever going to be in, really, his rookie year” - Brian Dawkins on Jalen Hurts.

Dawkins trolling a lot of people in here is really a chef's kiss to the Jalen Hurts discussion.

It's comical to think Dawk even knows this place exists.  And then to think his comments are directed to the 50 people or so who post in here?

He is supporting someone he has gotten to know as a person and player and thinks Hurts will improve.  Doesn't mean he will be correct in his assessment.

I can’t believe some newbies to the blog (and at least one longer term participant) insulted Beast ( @Original Sin ) and suggested his use of punctuation was too much.  I, for one, am encouraged by Beast’s use of punctuation and capitalization in his reincarnated version and would heartedly encourage him to continue as he has.  As to misplacement of commas, any older person using a phone or pad "keyboard” has experienced big thumb syndrome.

Reading a "mock draft roundup" I came across this trade up to 10. They have us taking Willis which I'm not interested in.  But I do kind of like the trade value of by some chance Hamilton is still available.

10. Eagles (via NYJ): QB Malik Willis, Liberty
Eagles swap No. 15 for the Jets’ No. 10 and give up their third-round pick this year and their 2023 sixth-round pick. Pretty similar to the Bears’ trade-up for Justin Fields last season.

And it’s all in the name of figuring out the QB position.

16. Eagles: LB Devin Lloyd, Utah

19. Eagles: CB Andrew Booth Jr., Clemson

Hamilton I would 100% do that. I'd probably do it for Gardner too.

Fighter jet in your avatar  like your a tough guy , but you cry like a beech , god helps us  if there are more like you in the military .

As soon as anyone uses the term rookie to describe Hurts their credibility on the subject  defaults to zero.  His contract says he’s entering the third year of a four-year contract.

There’s nothing "all of a sudden” about evaluating Hurts.  He played 3 years at Alabama, another year at Oklahoma.  He received the best college coaching a player can get.  45 games worth in college and another 20+ in the NFL.

He’s not "all of a sudden” going to develop NFL-caliber passing ability at this point, or a better throwing arm.  The cake is baked.

Maybe try capitalizing English, as it is a proper noun, when criticizing other posters on their use of grammar.

Nonsense.  Brian Dawkins likes Jalen Hurts.

But my post has nothing to do with QB anyway.  It's referencing the potential value of a trade to 10. For Hamilton.

So Brian Dawkins has zero credibility when talking about football?

Brave you are to die on this hill.

I didn't criticize anyone's grammar. 🙂

Yes.  Just because someone was a great football player doesn’t mean they have perspective on the sport.

Id enjoy venturing onto that hill.  Speaking of Dawkins, I’ll never forget talking to a long time starting safety in the NFL who was insisting that Michael Lewis was much better than Dawkins.

So we shouldn't consult Joe Namath about Hurts ability?
