I would be fine with either Whitehead or Edmunds but I think the team needs to make a longer term signing. Marcus Williams is definitely better. But Edmunds is 25 and Whitehead is 24. They're all in the same age range, just not the same price range.

I have no idea how the whole process played out but I can’t imagine Chark being like "yeah I would go to Philly but they have Hurts… I think I’ll go to Detroit where they have Goff!! Yeah I’ll really be able to showcase my talents so much better in Detroit!!” It's not that complicated. Be the #2 option there or be the 4th/5th option here.

March 15, 20223 yr Laviska Shenault supposedly available. I'd get him and dump Reagor. Shenault at least has value as a YAC monster out of the slot.

We won't be in line for Young, and I don't like Stroud. And of course you're right, there could be darkhorses that pop up from the 2022 college season. Just think we're still gonna be in that lower half of the first round which makes it much tougher to get your guy. I think if Nick has his eye on someone this year, make it happen. I don't think he came in here expecting to be starting Jalen Hurts.

The stats I don’t think play as big of a role as you guys think. Kirk just inked a huge deal and never even had 1,000 yards receiving. Chark didn’t ink a long term deal because he can’t stay healthy. Frankly if I was chark I wouldn’t have chosen the Eagles or the Lions on a one-year prove it deal. I would’ve went to someone like the Chiefs or some contender with a strong passing game and taking less money. Because even if I am the third option on a team with a good quarterback and a good passing game I’ll be productive and I’m gonna get paid more. hes now gotta hope that he puts up productive stats with the lions (the eagles who arent a passing team).

March 15, 20223 yr Eagles have Sanders/Gainwell, Smith, Watkins, ???, Goedert, ??? You don't break the bank for your 3rd WR and your 2nd TE (H-back type receiver, Stoll is a fine blocker). I could see Pascal and drafting one or two guys in the middle rounds. The FA prices exceed value for most WRs
March 15, 20223 yr 1 minute ago, Outlaw said: I've been on that train. See my mock offseason here: I think the economics say you make the switch at QB now. Hurts is going into Year 3 of a 4-year entry level contract, and one of two things likely happen: -- the same type of results we saw this past season. Hurts shows nominal improvement in the passing game, still relies heavily on his legs, and the Eagles have a similar 8-9 or 9-8 season -- just making or just missing the playoffs. -- the NFL adjusts to Hurts and most teams play him the way the Bucs and Giants play him. Hurts struggles and regresses as a player, and the Eagles finish with a worse record; 6-11 type of season. If it's the first scenario, Hurts will come to the table before the 2023 season wanting a lucrative extension. He won't be asking for an astronomical amount like Murray or Dak, but $30M+ per season would be the likely asking price from his agent. Then you've got a QB who isn't worth nearly that price and likely disgruntled when told he won't get an extension until his entry level contract is finished. In the second scenario it's an easier decision at QB, but now you're stuck in Steelers, Saints, and Washington territory with no QB at all and having to spend numerous draft picks to land one -- who, if a FA QB, is middling at best. Trade now, recoup a 3rd round pick (his value next year will be a 6th round pick), draft whichever QB Nick feels is the best long-term option for the franchise -- and you've got a cost-controlled QB for the next 5 years.
