That organization is usually way better at scouting than the Phillies, so something to keep tucked away in the back of your mind.

The salary cap is fake news as far as I'm concerned

But I don't know how you could know their exact cap space. None of the details of the 10* guys they signed in free agency have been released.

The Phils need to fix their pitching. Bringing a big name in to hit .260 won’t matter if their bullpen is still garbage

I liked Myles Jack in that draft, but yes -- he's not a LB the Eagles should be looking at paying.  His advanced stats in pass coverage are equally woeful to Singleton's as well.

I'm not big on London. I do like Burks, but the thought of another R1 WR irks me. I'm more a R2-3 guy...targets would be Alec Pierce, Christian Watson, George Pickens.

The amount of money they'll need to spend to surpass the Braves is going to far exceed what they're willing to spend, so Bryant or not, it's probably not going to matter. They're destined for 11th season with no playoffs. Middleton flat out refuses to go one penny over that tax.

If they added Bryant and Story, now that's a lineup. And can fill in the pen as you go. But I don't see any chance Middleton allows it. It's the same story every year. They start with a bunch of cheap deals. Fans and Harper get restless. They sign one big name guy to appease everyone just to sell enough tickets and get fans just excited enough... then cut the spending and finish with 80 wins. Rinse, repeat.
