There's a risk to this that goes to his on field availability.  Trading for a QB that is demanding to be traded and is reluctant to come to your team, makes me believe there's a high degree of likelihood he doesn't stay with the team.  His demands have cost him playing time.  I don't think it's idiotic.  I think it's a high risk trade that may look really bad if Watson doesn't play to his past level or his behavior stops him from playing.

If the Eagles fail to acquire Watson, then, despite the package, Afan will laud Roseman.

If, on the other hand, the Eagles do acquire Watson, then, despite the package, Afan will laud Roseman.

I agree, though Brady unretiring pushed him out. Still the clear-cut 3rd best QB in the NFC if he comes to our conference, and top 6-8 overall. HUGE difference from where we are now.

It's either going to be great or a disaster. There's no real in-between scenario.

I definitely saw him say "no” to a tweet about Philly.  But can’t find it now.  Either way hope it’s not the Eagles.

And the 2 guys ahead of him will be 38 and 45 when the season starts. So you're setting up to have the best QB in the conference very soon, unless there is an immediate impact from a 2023 draft pick.

On top of being the 3rd best QB in the NFC, this is the main reason I want the Eagles to get Watson.

Yeah he's currently better than Hurts. But giving up 3 first and some starters for Watson won't get this team any closer to a championship. 

And he's not a top 5 QB which has been claimed.
