This had just the right amount of psycho, disturbing, unsettling craziness to attract my liking in a horror film. Very surprising that it was disturbing, I figured here we go it’s gonna be another dissapointing horror film but the girl who played the crazy girlfriend absolutely killed her role, she was great. Would recommendJust got back from seeing this and I agree, I really enjoyed it and was creeped out by it. Lots of layers to it, specifically the merits of the boyfriend. He was really a selfish scumbag.Pretty cool story with the director too how he was doing YouTube comedy shorts before this movie, got this one greenlit, and is doing a remake of Texas Chainsaw Massacre for his next project.
May 25May 25 I saw Obsession last night also. It’s a good movie. I thought it was lacking a little in the horror aspect though. I wish they went a bit more into the body horror and kills. One debate I had with my wife Did anyone else think she liked Bear from the start before the willow? She was practically begging for him to make the first move.

She was already hooking up with the friend and the scene where the real Nikki is talking while the entity is sleeping, she says something along the lines of "We were never together” when Bear asks what’s so wrong with being with him. There was also the Hansel and Gretel brother/sister incestuous reference when she’s giving the speech at the boys night party.

All before he broke the willow just seemed like she was waiting on him. They had a whole conversation about how she never tells people her crushes and they referenced earlier on there was a bit of a love triangle situation between Bear, Nikki and Sarah. I think they wanted to make it a big ambiguous. It kinda adds to the horror of it all if she did actually have some sort of feelings for him but he was too scared and resorted to inadvertently going against her will which caused the downfall of all his friends.

It's super F'ed up and really good.
May 29May 29 Author "They Will Kill You” is bottom 5 worst horror movies I’ve ever seen. It contains all my triggers.1) Unathletic lead woman that kills everyone multiple times, including men who outweigh her by 150 lbs. Watching her run hurt my soul. Think "Ballerina,” the dumbest movie ever made. And think this guy when you think of athleticism. 2) The plot was atrocious. I can’t believe this movie was funded. The CGI pig head was next level retarded.Don’t watch!

Was it good? No not really but I’ve seen worse films for sure. I can see some people enjoying this movie
June 2Jun 2 Author Backrooms getting amazing reviews so far. May was truly the month for horror. Record box office numbers for multiple movies - Hokum, Obsession, and now Backrooms. I haven't seen any of them, but next time the wife and kids are gone, the pants will come off, and I'm watching all 3.

June 5Jun 5 Author I saw Hokum the other night, and it did not disappoint. I've been following this director since his debut, "Caveat," which was a little weird plotwise, but it had almost zero budget, and his visuals continue to be the scariest I've ever seen. If you have seen Caveat, that creepy ass bunny, along with the dead body in the walls were 2 of the scariest visuals I've ever seen in a movie. Oddity had that, and now Hokum does as well, only with a huge budget and awesome plot. There are multiple young directors that are killing it in this genre right now (Obsession), and it doesn't look like they're going to stop any time soon. Also.............this trailer. 🤣🤣 I can't 'ukn wait for this. Ice Cream Man (2026) | Official Red Band Trailer - YouTube

Makes me think the movie might suck, but then again, Eli Roth doesn't miss much. This trailer alone took the scene from Hannibal, added children, then scooped it into ice cream cones. 🤣
June 8Jun 8 Author Saw Obsession over the weekend, and I definitely get the hype. It was awesome, and that director is gonna be fun to follow. His next movie sounds amazing too, and it's already completed. Don't read the spoiler below if you haven't seen it. SpoilerThere was a glaring plot hole that is driving me crazy. Here's a thought.......maybe just buy more wish sticks, give 1 to someone else you know or even just a random stranger, and have them undo the wish rather than 'ukn killing yourself.

And then bought another one to try it with someone else too. After his two friends are dead and the girl he loved is some demented freak, I guess he just felt too guilty about it all

Or while he goes to work while she ****s and p*sses herself all day he could have just given it to anybody to make a quick wish. It's a simple God**mn solution!!!

In maybe the best scene of the movie, the real her talks to him in her sleep and tells him flat out she'd never have done any of that.
June 14Jun 14 The Bride!Ok so, I'm gonna put this here because it is a Frankenstein movie and I don't want hputnis getting any more queefy and aynal than the usual. I think most people are going to hate it, especially if you're like me and find Jessie Buckley's Shakespearean rap schtick lame (her accent seemed uneven to say the least). It's also dripping in old school feminism which I know the gang in here doesn't like either, but, it's got enough bonkers in it to keep you engaged throughout. At the least catch Bale's puttin on the ritz scene on youtube.

If Zazie Beetz doing flips in green panties triggers you negatively, that's on you brother! I thought she held up perfectly fine athletically. It's a very silly flick that doesn't even pretend to excuse it's idiocy. But if you rolled a fatty and you click on this before your ice cream melts, it's fine, you'll laugh.
July 3Jul 3 Author I saw Undertone tonight and my first reaction was "Wow.” I feel like expectations are everything when you go into a movie, and based on the plot and a few reviews, I did not think it was gonna be that good. I am a huge fan. Where the F is @Shepard Wong ? SpoilerThe use of sound in this movie is crazy. It totally adds to the terror. Then the folklore, the story, and the last 10-15 minutes are absolutely nuts.
