Was he pointing the gun at Arbery? It's been a minute since I've seen the video.  As soon as the gun was grabbed, one of them was going home in a body bag, unfortunately, IMO.

Knowing what we know now (black males caught on tape multiple times in homes where burglaries occurred) it's a shame cooler heads didn't prevail. I understand where the father/son combo were coming from... attempting to hold someone they thought just burglarized a home until police arrived. Obviously, if Arbery was just out for an innocent jog, I've got sympathy for him as well. I think there's still a lot we don't know as well, that may be uncovered during the trial.

Yeah, I can’t see where they’re coming from at all.  If someone is committing burglaries in your neighborhood then you call the cops.

I’m saying as far as attempting to detain someone they thought had committed a burglary after a rash of burglaries nearby and seeing someone who matched Arbery’s description on cctv footage.

Knowing what I know, a man is dead and the father/son have blood on their hands.

Did you watch the video posted that said there's been a bunch of people(not just black) on tape? A white couple was scene the day of the shooting. It said kids have gone in the construction site. The owner even said it's possible Arbery was just going for water since there's a water source in the house

Yeah unless you're a cop or your parents were killed in front of you by a mugger right after you saw Zorro at the movies, maybe just leave crime fighting to someone else.

There weren’t even any home burglaries in that neighborhood.  The younger moron of the family, a couple days prior to the shooting, saw someone go into a home under construction.  He "suspected” that this person was a burglar up to no good.    There was no description of a suspect in home burglaries that was going around because there weren’t any home burglaries happening.  So even your logic here is bullsh-t. 

When you chase someone down and then get in their path holding a gun, YOU are the aggressor.  The innocent person going for a jog has every right to believe that HIS life is at risk and has every right to defend himself against the guy brandishing a shotgun at him.

huh, I had read that cameras were installed for that very reason. I think there's still a lot we don't know. What did the father/son combo say to Arbery? Did they just pull up on him guns pointed at him? Did they have any interaction at all beforehand? Did they state their intention to perform a citizen's arrest or ask him to stop because the cops were on the way? Still a lot of information missing.

Yes there was CCTV in that house under construction, that saw MULTIPLE people of all different descriptions stroll through the house.  So there goes your theory that someone saw a person matching Arbery’s description robbing homes.  
If someone stops me in the middle of the street with a shotgun drawn, I can only conclude that my life is in grave danger. 

Very ironic that the crowd of "I have the right to stand my ground if I think someone is putting my life in danger” is doing a complete 180 in the scenario of 2 armed men holding up an unarmed guy going for a jog.

Lastly, the citizens arrest law only applies if the person performing the arrest witnessed the suspect commit a crime or has immediate knowledge that the suspect committed a crime.  Neither of which apply here.

I just can't understand how ANYONE can argue FOR these two dbags.  Their unnecessary actions directly led to a man's death.  This was not stand your ground.  This was not self defense.  This was two amoebas from the same gene pool trying to be "heroes" and a guy died because of it.  Case closed.  Lock 'em up and throw away the key.

All the traffic in and out of that house under construction and yet, only one shooting.

Boggles my mind.  They absolutely should have their day in court, I just don’t see how they can claim self defense. 
And how did it take so long to bring charges against them?  But then I remembered, this is Georgia, where 17 year old Genarlow Wilson was sentenced to 10 years in prison for receiving oral sex from a 15 year old girl.

So basically what this logic is saying, is that when a criminal wants to mug someone, all they have to do is lie to the victim and tell them they are performing a citizens arrest and the cops are on the way, so stand there with their hands up, and if the victim tries to fight them for their weapon, and the mugger kills them, the mugger is actually free to go and can claim self defense since he told the victim he was performing a citizens arrest.
