But there's an absurd amount of attention being paid to an issue that doesn't impact 99% of the population.

I wonder if something similar to that maybe just happened - say about 3 years ago?  Shut the entire country down and everything!

  • You live in Florida? I do. Things are getting worse here, and they were already bad before I got here. You had basically a center right political system (*chef’s kiss*), crime was an issue but it

Remember when this thread started and it was about a law in Florida that sought to prevent public schools from teaching very young children about radical gender ideology? Then liberal politicians had a meltdown over it? Then the media told everyone that it prohibited teachers from saying gay? Then Disney spoke out against the bill?

Actually, the first post of the thread (posted by some weird loser named Kz) is about Disney's reaction, not the bill's passage.

It seems like a big enough deal that this should get its own thread. I guess the biggest question is, why is it so important for Dems to sexually groom children from kindergarten through 3rd grade?

Why the media campaign to lie about what's in the bill? For ishlibs, does it ever get weird seeing the media make a concerted effort to blatantly lie to you, or is it just SOP at this point?

It was still the correct sequence of events. You're just nitpicking because you're a butthurt soyboy.

Now the idiot is begging Disney to add trademark infringement on top of the pile.

Shutting down the country was absolutely stupid but Covid had way more of an impact on us than the TG issue.

 I know - I was simply going off the 99% - as in 99% of people who get/got Covid survived.

I'm not butthurt at all.  I'm good with the bill.  Like John said, it's largely unnecessary but I don't see any harm in it.

But his main point was that Republicans wants to make as much hay over cultural sheet like this as possible, mainly because embarrassing populists like Trump and DeSantis have abandoned conservatism and they have no concrete ideology that appeals to the right.  Of course, it's a losing proposition, because no one gets elected based on imaginary problems that effect so few people, but that's the logic behind it.

And then literally hundreds of instances of schools teaching young children about the gender spectrum have been posted in this very thread? Then some sh**lib comes in and says "well it's not happening anyway" and the cycle repeats. Sound familiar?

Anyway, I look forward to having this conversation with you again in about 10 pages.

Communism with good intentions is still communism. Children can be protected without government take over of private companies.

"It's largely unnecessary," but if you try to pass it democrats will condemn it and the media will lie about it and the biggest company in the state will speak out against it. Sheetlibs are amazing.

I know you desperately need for it to be the biggest problem in America (since you guys have a wholly unappealing ideology, garbage candidates  and Biden's economic miracle continues), but it's not.

We were in Disney in November and saw a few people with shirts with this and in the same font.

Death was not the only side effect of COVID. Even without the government missteps, Covid impacted way more than 1% of the country. No one has ever needed to be placed on an incubator because they came in close proximity of a TG person. No one ever had to miss work because a TG person works at their grocery store. It’s a horrible analogy.

Exactly. It's not a hill to die on. Let them have it. Keeping Trump out of power, and preserving free and fair elections is the most important thing.

Right.  But that's the forever problem of the left.  They're terrified of offending anyone because they're made up of so many disparate voting blocks.  It would be so easy to back sheet like this and move on but they live in fear of the electorate and can't help themselves.

"It's not happening" but if it is "it's not a big deal" even if it's sh**lib politicians and media driving the discussion about it.

You'll get no argument from me on your second point. Biden has been killing it. Stocks, economy, global peace, inflation, banking, border security. He's just been so flawless conservatives have no choice but to pounce on this issue to score some cheap points and pray that they can have a chance in the next election.

Lowest black unemployment in history?  :o  Yeah, that's a big one too.  I'm old enough to remember when that was a yuge political brag.

The Dow is up almost 20% since he was elected. Someone bringing up stocks as a reason why Biden's been a failure clearly doesn't own any themselves. Which we knew already for Kz, but I guess now we know for you too.
