I'm currently spending 250k to decorate the main living area of my house (to keep the wife happy). Decorator coming by next week with the "plans." Luckily, I won't be involved. But with what my wife's going through with her dad, if this makes her happy, I'll just look the other way. @dawkins4prez -- here's one of my wife's favorite examples of me spending like an idiot, even though it wasn't much money. We went to visit her parents over the holidays for a few days, and her dad has stage 4 cancer so we have to be very careful about COVID. But I didn't want to miss 3 days of Peloton workouts. So I found a hotel 30 miles away that agreed to move a Peloton into a suite. So I paid $700/night for 3 nights to have a place to go ride a Peloton with nobody around me.
