July 21, 20224 yr I'm still somewhat unsure what codifying any of this at the federal level does. Seems to me a state that would seek to criminalize contraception would be able to sue the federal government saying it's overstepping its authority. That would of course put that state - and the GOP - in trial in the court of public opinion. But with Roe overturned, from a legal standpoint it seems like states could certainly challenge the right to contraception.
