Please be kind and courteous when interacting with your fellow Philadelphians this holiday weekend. These two young ladies provide a good example of kindness. Remember them on your journeys.

Will Williams be ready? Doesn't look like it. It'll certainly be fun to watch their two high draft picks against our tackles.

I think we should win, given those match-ups.

Probably not on Williams. I didn't like the Campbell hire and all the antics he pulled at first, but I think they might be starting to finally turn the corner. Even without Jameson they have a decent set of skill players. Johnson should be an upgrade at OC over Lynn also. Will also be interesting to see our DL against Sewell/Big V/Ragnow line. I think they can beat up the left side though.

I see this season starting off with a similar style to how it started off last season. They'll air it out the first four games of the season to try to get out to an early lead and to justify the Brown trade, build off DeVonta's rookie year, and get the other pieces like Goedert involved. And honestly, that's probably the right way to do it. Any competent QB should be able to put up good numbers in this offense. But if they struggle, they'll revert back to a run-heavy offense before pulling the plug on Hurts.

I doubt it. The OL will be better this year, so why would you make a drastic change from what worked?

What's more likely is they work in more play action based off their run sets, and more crossing routes for Brown. That is, a more balanced offense but built off one of the top rushing games in the NFL, not abandoning what works. A ball control scheme that uses the run to set up deep strikes.

Sirianni doesn't have to justify the Brown trade, he has to win games. He'll do what's best for the team.

Everyone's laughing at Howie's bowling score

If they win games by doing what worked last year, which was running the ball and taking the ball out of Hurts hands, then the trade for AJ Brown is pointless.

They need to make drastic changes to what worked last year because while running the ball will win games, it's not winning a SB.

No Howie told them to laugh...they look like this out of fear of that man.

Slightly different, as Atlanta had a brand new coaching staff.

And I'm relatively speaking. I expect a win. But I can also see this being a closer game than some think. Week 1 is weird. Eagles will be running a more advanced D relying on light practices instead of game reps so it might take a few weeks to gel, and Lions will probably be motivated and healthy. If we played them Week 8 like last year, the defense will be up to speed and Lions are probably starting to become unmotivated.

Nope. Picks are only for losing staff that become GM's. Unless you mean he eventually gets a GM job somewhere else.

No doubt.  But... that's what he meant by it.

The big strike offenses are becoming obsolete as DCs learn how to stifle them and take away the big play.

So expect the league to move to more balanced schemes, more dink and dunk and running plays.

Eagles will just move toward that balance from the opposite direction.

They don't need drastic changes, right now they shouldn't be thinking SB, they should be thinking progress, they're still rebuilding, if everything jells they might make a run like 2017, but you can't count on that. So the focus should be to improve on what they have, not try to be what they're not.

And I'd point out that Brown's skill set is more suited to an underneath passing game where you set him up for YAC than a vertical quick strike offense.

Think he'll line up in front of Lane for the most part, am I wrong?

From the information I've gathered from sources is that there were 10 lanes in the bowling alley.  That 99 was on one throw.  Only one pin remained in the building after Howie threw the ball down the lane faster than a Randy Johnson fastball.  He decided not to go for the spare because as Howie put it "Spares are for pu$$ies"

Not sure.  He lined up on both sides at UM.

I do believe his point is that if this team can't beat Detroit in Week 1, that we can likely expect them to also lose other games that we expect them to win.

But that's not true. Good teams lose in week 1, and bad teams win in week 1, all the time.

We won’t know until a few games into the season.

We used that 1st round pick on *checks notes* Jalen Reagor.

The schedule this season is an easier first 9 games, difficult last 8 -- almost opposite of last season.  A poor start will be very difficult to rebound from.  I see the schedule as:

@ DET -- WIN

MIN -- WIN

@WAS -- LOSS

JAX -- WIN

@ARI -- LOSS

DAL -- WIN

PIT -- WIN

@HOU -- WIN

WAS -- WIN

@IND -- LOSS

GB -- LOSS

TEN -- WIN

@NYG -- LOSS

@CHI -- WIN

@DAL -- LOSS

NO -- WIN

NYG -- WIN

That would be an 11-6 season, after a 7-2 start.  Any kind of slow start resembling last season and there won't be any big playoff push.

Which statement do you more believe to be true.

A) Greatness will always be great no matter what circumstance they land in. So if Pat Mahomes and Tom Brady were drafted by the Lions, they'd still be as great as they are today.

B) Greatness needs to be surrounded by the right situation to truly realize their greatness no matter how much talent they have.

B

There are too many talented people who fail. Mahomes had Reid, while Brady had Belicheck.

IMO brandon hunt signing would be the biggest addition to the team. howie killing it on all levels

I'd have to say B. You've got to be with the right people in the right situation. Talent will only take you so far.

Only correct answer is A with the way you are phrasing this.
