That would be a terrible situation for him to find himself in. *Knock on wood* but i'd assume they'd just draft a QB. He got injured last year and required surgery so if he misses significant time this year with an injury i cant imagine the eagles will want go into another year with him as the starter.

When you are a qb who is not a first round pick and not a good prospect, the onus is on you to prove you belong quickly. 3 years in without doing so and it would be an easy decision to move on.

The argument they made for drafting Hurts while Wentz was here was not wanting to miss out on high end potential at the most important position in the game. In that scenario they'd be passing up on better (projected) prospects to hold out hope for a player that proved less and in which they invested less than Wentz. Bummer for Hurts but I can't imagine they wouldn't draft a QB there.

Even some first round picks who were meh prospects don’t get three years. Hurts is getting a lot more opportunity wise than most in his general situation.

I would argue that no qb in nfl history has the unique combination of not being a first round pick, not being close to a prototypical talent, not started out well, and still been an unquestioned starter in year 3.

The ambiguous part would be if Hurts lights it up early in the season against the weak part of the schedule and gets injured mid-season before the difficult opponents. Looking at 2021, Hurts didn’t exactly light up the Lions or Giants though — I think Hurts has to be top 10 across the board or the Eagles will move on. I can’t see them rewarding mediocrity with a huge contract extension, and I also don’t think Hurts shows up to voluntary minicamp or OTAs without one in hand.

Richardson is headed for the UDFA pool or second chance U unless he gets a clue this season. That's the media...they need something to spin. It's purely media manufactured hype at this point.

Gowan, McPherson, Vincent, Jobe, and Goodrich is a solid group of developmental players. Eagles have a lot of irons in that fire. My favorites are the ones the Eagles gave some capital for. McPhearson, Gowan, Vincent (preferably as a S/slot) and Scott. In that order. Gowan and Vincent are a bit green but showed great potential in college pre Covid. I liked Gowan more than his team mate Robinson. Good make up burst, nice shadow, smooth transition but green. Vincent looked good at LSU, which produces some talented secondary players. Just a bit small but good fundamentals and ball skills and great speed. A bit green. Scott has real talent. Plays close. Just can’t stay healthy. I don’t put much stock in the cowpads game. Much more practiced offense at the end of the season against a group that really hadn’t played much together.

Reality is there are two better thrower of the football behind him and that makes his fans nervous so they attack. Watch their college film. Hurts threw to like 8 first round targets throughout his college career and they were often wide wide open and waiting for the ball. He still can't throw someone open. Strong didn't have huge separation to work with. He made NFL throws throughout his college career. Without health issues, strong is probably 2-3rd rounder. I seen your list of other injured players coming into college and all of them were positions that are far easier replaced than at QB. Strong may never get past his knee issues, but so far Hurts can't get past his deficiencies Eagles signed him with the hope that he can maybe one day develop into a QB that they can depend on as the primary backup with Minshew likely to walk in free agency next year. There is nothing wrong with developing depth. But that's all he realistically is and is what the Eagles realistic expectations of him would be. That's what they tried with Nate Sudfeld. The reality is that if Hurts doesn't do enough to solidify the job after this season then the Eagles will be looking to make a big move at QB through either a trade for a QB on another team or if that fails then moving up and targeting a guy in the draft. Going to what would be a 2nd year UDFA who spent the year either as the 3rd QB or on the practice squad as the Eagles planned option at QB 1 will not even enter the equation for the FO if they decide to move on from Hurts at QB next offseason.

If going to a qb that was benched in college, was asked at the combine if he was willing to change positions, and had zero experience learning to pass instead of centering productivity on his legs…if they were willing to start that qb in year 2, then what’s so bad about an unheralded pocket passer in year 2? Didn’t you say it doesn’t matter where a qb was drafted?
July 18, 20223 yr Anyone in the blog know this? Curious on a ballpark estimate to put in central air, and heat in a house with no existing system. Just had baseboard, coal stove, and wall AC units. I want to know everything we need starting from scratch- Outside unit, furnace, duct work, etc. Ballpark price to expect in a quote.

Ahhh, I had just had a quote of this when I was house shopping. The house had pre-existing ducts however and I think it was around $7-8,000. Don't quote me on that and it was months ago in the early stages of inflation.

If we were just adding those materials and labor for that part of the job it sounds like it may still be doable. Im just wondering if its even worth people's time to ask them to work up a quote on that kind of job. We are currently looking for install prices on a 5 zone mini-split. Based on the price of a 4 zone 2 years ago which we didnt end up doing, it seems like it might not be too much more to just go for the whole central air system.
July 18, 20223 yr https://www.nbcsports.com/philadelphia/eagles/eagles-observations-britain-covey-jalen-hurts-dallas-goedert-nfl-offseason-2022 2. Jalen Hurts Stat of the Week: Over the last five weeks of last season, Hurts had a higher passer rating than Tom Brady. Hurts was 101.3 and Brady 100.3. 4. Terrell Owens had 20 touchdown catches as an Eagle. Only three Eagles receivers have had more over the last 25 years (DeSean Jackson, Jeremy Maclin, Jordan Matthews). T.O. only played 21 games as an Eagle.

If you're going to pay for that I would go all in and do central.
