Yeah, he really hit a wall last year when he had 397 yards of offense, threw 4 TD's and put up 36 points in a loss to the Chiefs.

The pertinent observation is Lamar struggles more against teams that are talented enough to limit his ability to freelance/run the ball and he forced to throw more. Which, by playoff time, is what you get. The same applies for different types of QBs that are largely one trick ponies. Take trick away and can they beat you?

On a serious note, Lamar "hits a wall" in the playoffs like any other player or team does who isn't a top 3 player/team. No, Lamar isn't an elite QB. He is very good, and he can win in the playoffs. He does need more help than Allen, Mahomes, Herbert, Rodgers, etc. That doesn't mean he's not a very good player.

My comment - Lamar beats up on crap teams during the regular season and chokes in the playoffs. 

 

He doesn't just beat up on bad teams in the regular session.  He has a winning record vs good teams in the regular season as well.  We could find this to be wrong but I'm fairly certain the only other young QB in the league who has a winning record against teams with winning records would be Mahomes. 

Lamar Jackson just turned 25 this year. His playoff record right now this early in his career is no indactor of what future success or failure he will have in the post season over the course of his career. One thing is certain though and that is he will have many chances over his career to go on a deep playoff run because as he has shown he is a winner who will get his team into the tournament.  Matthew Stafford never managed to win a playoff game until this recent post season run.  Peyton Manning was viewed as a choker in the playoffs until he finally won his first Super Bowl in his 9th season at age 30.

It is ridiculous to act as if the book on Lamar's career and postseason has been written when we are still so early in his career.
