I did amend the bet so my avatar would change if I lost. Both have something at stake, It is closer to following the definition of "bet”.

That's A way to look at it....though I wouldn't. I see it in context as his agreement was with the terms applying to both, which is what he was specifying. Then AL changed the terms, but that one was never agreed to.
