All right @4for4EaglesNest let's piece together an avatar bet for this year.  I think Hurts is the best target here since I'm in the "I think he'll improve as a passer but not quite enough to cement himself as a QB of the future" camp where's you seem to think he'll continue to suck.  Plus it's the least boring bet topic.

So looking at last year starting QB stats I looked for what would have place him around the middle of the pack as a passer: 3700 passing yards, 65.5% completion percentage, and TD:INT of 2.4.

Hurts hits at least 2/3 of those marks I win.  If not you win. Avatar control for the entire off-season.  Deal?

I'm sorry I brough such a depressing topic into the blog.  A little back story without too much detail. I met my friend 12 years ago during an AF commissioning program. He was on top of the world

Short or long term? Because that’s what it’s really about.  Zach Wilson.

Well, it’s really about who gets closest to the #1 pick in 2023, which is what the whole discussion goes back to.

Someone explain how practice can be over and there was 0 tweets about any Hurts passes. They have to be practicing the most boring offense ever.

Saw there was a lot of second team work…probably because they will see a lot of action on Friday.

3700 passing yards would rank him 22nd last year behind Teddy Bridgewater.

Really setting the bar high with that one.

To get to 14th last year, need 4000 yards, or 235 yards per game.

This is what I used as a reference:

3700 would put him right behind tannehill at 16. Unless this list is off.

He's only running?

Back tracking already, smh

@downundermike are you looking at total yards?  I purposely tried to avoid anything that factored in run plays.

A first round playoff exit?

Contending for a deep playoff run and as you get deeper anything can happen.

4000 yards passing isn't happening with hurts at QB.

Eagles have the weapons on offense to put up 4000 passing yards but not the QB to do that.

Having said that 14th in pass tds last year was only 22 and I think hurts should be able to reach that.

Not sure he will but he has the pieces around him to pass for 22 tds.

Currently he’s leading the battle.  So if Lock isn’t good enough to beat out Geno Smith, then he’s not easily better than anyone.

I think they should give Lock a shot   Because I think Smith is that bad.   But neither of them is head and tails over what NYJ or NYG has

https://www.espn.com/blog/seattle-seahawks/post/_/id/36100/geno-smith-still-leading-seattle-seahawks-qb-battle-but-is-drew-lock-gaining-ground

Really seattle only has DK, Lockett, fant and maybe penny who did nothing til end of the season. Seahawks defense is atrocious. Their offensive line is bad and they are about to lose their starting LT brown who was the only really good one in FA. Imo Geno is worse than jones. And Wilson and geno are about even as i think Wilson has a shot at being better as he was a rookie. lock had talent around him in Denver and stunk after his first year.

I look at it this way Seattle has gotten worse this year and they were already bad last year even with Russell Wilson. At least I look at the Giants and say they have a decent defense and that was with bradberry last year who didn’t play well in 2021. They also added to their oline so it should be better. Also have talent at the skill position in barkley (if he stays healthy), shepard, toney, golladay and slayton. The Jets are gonna be bad but I at least see them adding talent to that roster to be better and making improvements and a possible jump from 4 wins to potentially 6. I think seattle is going to regress to 4 wins.

Vegas has giants at 7.5, jets at 5.5 and seattle at 5.5. i’d be willing to bet one of those New York teams finishes with a better record (or same record as seattle) than Seattle. Frankly I think Seattle’s trying to tank this year. I wouldn’t be shocked if they deal Lockett at the deadline and i wouldn’t be all that shocked if they deal Penny as well to go with Kenneth walker

If you want too I’d make a bet that 1 of those 2 ny teams will finish with a better record than the Seahawks. If they have the same record it’s a push.

Yea, we've all seen this one before

I just saw Bob Weir and John Mayer play a small venue of like 300 people for a fundraiser for the floods that happened in June. People can hate on John Mayer all they want, but as a musician, that dude is undeniably as good as it gets on guitar. His jam in Eyes of The World was literally Jerry. Unreal. I’m not even a huge dead fan, but it was as good of a concert as I’ve seen. There’s a livestream of it online. Highly recommend if you like guitar playing

First bryce with his elbow (although it didn’t keep him out a bunch of games; broken thumb did). Now kelce. Someone please bubble wrap embiid

You are looking at total yards, some of the players on the list did not play 17 games.

Re-sort the list by yards per game.

Backlash because they put in the contract that he is required a specific number of hours of independent study?   It is more ridiculous that they felt that was required... and if your QB requires that, then they likely don't deserve that contract.  Cardinals doing Cardinals things.   Such a dumb franchise...

Absolutely. If you're worried about that, you don't have a franchise QB. This also means they should have traded Murray during the off-season. They would have been able to.

Good thing Jurgens is ready to hop right in there for Kelce.

No, it was just John and Bob. I was expecting way less than what I got. They put on a Fing clinic with incredible versions of a lot of the songs. I think it was better than seeing the full band.

Hmmm good point. I'd want a little protection just in case he misses a game along the way so maybe yards/game is the way to go. @4for4EaglesNest let's say 230 passing yards/game instead of 3700 total passing yards.

Maybe put in a clause that if he misses 4+ games the bet is off.

That’s probably how I’d bet it. I still think one of those two NY teams finished with as many or more wins than seattle.
