I'm sorry I brough such a depressing topic into the blog.  A little back story without too much detail. I met my friend 12 years ago during an AF commissioning program. He was on top of the world

There's a name from the past...Steven Means.  Guy has made a decent career for himself.

I saw in the box score he had a sack. He is probably the best pass rusher that no team ever let play. Very puzzling.

Kyle Hamilton

No difference really.

Treylon Burks

Titans first-round WR Treylon Burks played into the fourth quarter of Thursday's preseason game against the Ravens.

As charted by Pro Football Focus' Nathan Jahnke, there were red flags galore for Burks on Thursday evening. With the Titans resting Robert Woods and Nick Westbrook-Ikhine, Dez Fitzpatrick and Racey McMath were the starters. Then fellow rookie Kyle Phillips was the first wideout to enter the game in three-wide sets. Only then did Burks get playing time, and it came on the third series. He then played into the final frame, which is highly, highly unusual if you are someone the team plans to count on in Week 1. In the box score, Burks was held without a catch on one target, also contributing a four-yard rush. It is difficult to say what exactly the Titans are getting at here, but if you take their actions at face value, they simply do not believe Burks is anywhere close to ready to be a featured part of their offense. Thankfully, Burks still has a month to change that between now and the opener.

I’m just glad Schefter has moved on to reporting on more impotent things than alternate uniforms and helmets.

what could be more impotent than a uniform or a helmet?

When you impotent you got to dress impotent.

The small back thing is going to hold the Eagles back much more than Hurts, on 3rd and shorts a big back is more likely to keep the chains moving moreso than a small back, I have no idea why the organization can't figure this out, afterall, it was the big backs that played a big role in the Eagles only SB win.

The dumb sheets had better draft Chris Rodriguez from Kentucky in 2023.

Yeah one would think they'd give some bigger backs a look.

Like you said blount ajayi and clement were all bigger backs with Blount being the biggest at 250.

Maybe there just aren't many productive big backs in college🤷‍♂️

Take notes Sirianni.

Treylon Burks looking like ish makes the AJ Brown trade look a lot better. A lot of people liked Burks where we were, and while we gave up a third and had to instantly pay him, at least we got a proven talent than yet another scrub. Could you imagine if we had JJAW, Reagor and Burks on the roster right now? Yeesh.

I’ll give you Hurts and a future 4th rounder for the cooler.

That would be up there with the worst run on WRs ever.

You and olsilverpubes make special cocktails in it and go hang out at the park?

I liked what I saw from that Anthony Brown kid who went undrafted out of Oregon. Did pretty well working with the 3rd and 4th stringers.

I watched that viral video clip of Davis driving back Jurgens again and I came away impressed with Jurgens. His footwork was pretty amazing, hopping, resetting, hopping, resetting. That's incredibly hard to do. His balance was really good. Fortunately for him, not everybody he will face is as good as Davis. Maybe one or two in the league. Jurgens is a talent.

Davis is, of course, a transformative monster.

He lost as slowly as he could. Nothing wrong with that given the matchup.

Pumped to see how rookies.

Also, the 2nd half DB competition is going to be fierce. There's a lot of guys.

That was a popular sentiment back in the Tecmo Bowl generation.

That's the problem with you kids, you think the game played in the 70's, 80's, and 90s won't work today but I'd love to see how this pass happy BS would fair against the defenses of the the Giants, Bears and Cowboys of past decades, I can tell you now, all of today's QB's would be in body bags with all of those attempts.

And as far as the downhill runner go, today's defenses have the same issues and any defense throughout the history of the game has had, I mean brute force is brute force.

I saw a lot of people on Twitter (mostly OL folks) defending the play, saying the QB had 3 seconds to get rid of the ball, so Jurgens won. I think that misses the point. He hopped him back into the QB’s step up zone. If no other DL wins their matchup, then it’s OK. If Reddick beats the tackle off the snap, it’s game over. He’s stuck.

Yeah, that’s me.  I’m a kid.  Only in the blog, I can get called an old fart and a kid depending on what troll I’m going back and forth with.  Thank you for that, I needed it after my last haircut.

As far as the rest of the drivel you posted, I suggest you heed the advice in your signature.

Take it easy you old fart.

QBs in body bags. Lebron dead on arrival in the paint. Steel bent itself in the presence of a man in the 70s.
